Quote:
“I'M NOT TAKING ANYTHING AWAY FROM OUR WIN, BUT I DON'T THINK THEY PLAYED THEIR BEST GAME OF THE YEAR. BUT I ABSOLUTELY DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT. WE WON. I'M HAPPY.”

Primary Target

James Neal, a winger who's having a big season for the Pens in the absence of superstars like Crosby and Letang. Neal has already hit the 20 goal mark and continues to make a name for himself. The question is, is it enough with the mounting injuries the Pens face?

Red Hot Cat Of The Night

Mikael Samuelsson, who has 6 points in his last 6 games played.

I seriously doubt it since we're not known to just land a player like that. Then again, with Tallon at the wheel, who knows anymore. I'll jump for joy if it actually happened.

Penguins have been hit ridiculously hard by injuries. They're beatable. No excuse not to win this game.

My initial thought about this trade is calgary paid a very high price for a player who just dissed his teammates, coach, and management.

That being said rene bourque is a career underperformer.

When will jay feaster and the flames realize they suck and the only way to rebuild is through the draft. I assure michael cammeleri will not cure whats ailing that team.

We beat the Pens last time we met. This is a VERY winnable game. I think it's mostly on Clems' and our Defense though. I hope he performs well. I would rather Jose heal up extra good and play against Boston.

Why are people disappointed that we didn't get Cammaleri? Guy just threw his teammates under the bus and he has a terrible contract (like most players in Montreal).

Not as concerned with his comments, since they're so true, but his contract is something Tallon just didn't want a part of I'm sure. I him, though.

Btw, the 2nd and 3rd lines seem like they should swap centers. Still, Madden' been great out there.

They are as beatable as they will ever be that doesn't mean it will be an easy game. They are a very cohesive and hard working team and will not just give away 2 points. Oh, and they beat us pretty convincingly earlier in the year (granted they had Jordan Staal in that game who was the best player on the ice). Boys need to be on top of their game tomorrow.

This is a game I feel we need to win. Winnipeg got shutout last nite and 2 nites ago Washington just beat this same Penguins team. So lets maintain our lead in the Southeast and win this one (wouldnt be opposed to letting the Pens get a point since it would push the Caps out of the 8th seed too)!

It was the second game of the season. We were still gelling.
I agree though, this will be a tough game. Our boys need to play hard, Pens are hungry for a win. Also, I agree with Laus, the lines seem kinda funky.

Probably will be the story of the game. If he steps up, maintains focus and puck awareness like he did beautifully Monday, the D will do the rest and we will be fine. Couple of deflating softies and we are up the creek...
Two points are just that, but with only 9 games this month and competitors catching up with gp it feels more important.
Great time for our 6 in 5 to win three in a row...

I realize Pitt is on a 6-game losing streak, but there is absolutely no excuse for anything but a W tonight. I will be less than pleased without 2 points. If this is a playoff team, they will get 2 points tonight, plain and simple.

We better be ready for a hard hitting game tonight. I watched the Pens last game and I'll tell you something, these guys are VERY MAD. They are playing with emotion and they took every chance they could to run over every Cap they could. They were also very strong offensively despite all the injuries. We are going to need our D to have a game like the last one.

This game is going to require some grit to win it tonight. I'll be very surprised if we don't see Barch and Bradley both fight tonight. This game has angry Pens written all over it. They are on the verge of becoming a non-playoff team. To them this is do or die game. Our guys better keep that in mind tonight.

Have fun in the GDT tonight guys. I have to DVR this one and watch it late tonight.

GO PANTHERS!!!!

I feel bad for CGY fans. They were so excited about the coming off-season and their huge capspace. With this move it's almost back to square one for them.

I have a different take. I dont think he threw his team under the bus. I think he called them out. I dont mind a guy like that on the team I own, this is a guy with accountability, IMHO.

We should probably continue this in the pinned around the nhl thread...

The Panthers seemed to have preformed well in these kind of games so far. I expect them to put in the work tonight and get the 2 points. Finally getting healthy and rested, let's see some of that early season scoring! C'mon boys, get some jam going, eh?

Its the "second season". No excuse for slow start, laziness etc...each point could make or break this team. Lace up ready or dont lace up.
