Geez, about as ugly & lucky period as you're gonna get. Hopefully we turn it on from here on out.

They should have been ready in the first... but if he has them ready and scoring in the second i'll take it.

I really like Barch. He can, and will, go with anyone, doesn't hurt the play at all, and I think makes a positive impact on the team. Won't win most of his fights, but he'll still go night in and night out. I've been more pleased with him than I thought I would be.

Btw, Lightning not helping us at all tonight.

Seemed like Asham landed some good shots. Barch really didn't get anything going although when it seemed like he could have started, Asham kinda just went to the ice.

Seemed like Barch threw a hook that dropped Asham, have to see it again, though. Didn't want to rewind it then, though.

They keep doing all this fancy cute passes back n forth instead of just keeping it simple and shooting the damn puck. I see this as a problem lately as well

And ANOTHER breakaway? No defense from this team tonight.

Remember those games where we would dominate for a whole period, hit a few posts and get nothing to show for it, only to have the other team come down and score a few lucky ones and win it? Well let's be that other team tonight!

Hopefully Dineen lights a fire under their ***** in the 1st intermission like Monday night's game and we come out much better in the 2nd.
Campbell tried to shoot it through like 4 guys, which ended up getting blocked and turned into a breakaway. Not the smartest decision there from our all-star.

I'm sure Dino will get these guys going for the second. Everyone in the room should know that play like that is unacceptable. Sluggish, slow play,, too many shots against,, and dumb penalties. I expect a MUCH stronger 2nd.

Periods like that are unacceptable if we consider ourselves a playoff team!

Hate to be picky, but I am not sure I saw sluggish and slow play. I think that Pittsburgh plays an overwhelming, aggressive system with insane forecheck not allowing you to breathe. In return, the Panthers looked like they were begging for mercy and had their heads spinning for most of the first period. Made boneheaded plays because of Pittsburgh's intense pressure, and that's exactly how Pittsburgh wanted it.

The Panthers need to calm down and try to play their hockey instead of being forced into Pittsburgh's imo. Simple/smart plays basically.

/end trying to be coach.

Sux that we seem to have trouble sustaining any jump. Yeah, last game's 2nd period was cool and helped win us the game but I want to see strong efforts for most of the game. We were off for a few days and this is Pittsburgh's 3rd game in 4 nights so we should've been rolling from the start.

If not for Mr. Clemmer, the game may very well already be out of reach.

The team needs to rally behind Clemmensen and even up the score.
