edit: As a veteran member here I'd just like to say I'm sick and tired of Goat getting ragged on for every move and non-move. I'd like to, just for once, celebrate, what looks like to me, a great trade and I'd like to give Goat some credit for it.

I don't get how you guys are happy. Bourque is slow! He only had 2 good years his whole career. He;s 30 years old and he's signed until 2015 !!

Bourque should be good for his first stretch of games. After that, he'll fade. He had motivation issues in Chicago and again in Calgary.

I think you guys will like Holland. He's a bit of a longshot, but he's an excellent 7th round choice.

Cammy's been varying degrees of terrible during the regular season in all his 2.5 years here. This is actually a wonderful trade and it behooves me to defend Goat for it.

2. Tougher
3. Cheaper

Bourque is actually a player I thought would be a good fit for a while now. He's having a bad year but so was our elite sniper. Also with Gionta done for the season we no longer have any "smurf" wingers.

His Wikipedia page says he's fluent in French, but I'm pretty sure he isn't now. Shame, I was excited to be bringing in a player who wouldn't be a topic of attack on RDS.

Another point to consider, there is a very very good chance Calgary will be much worse next year than they are this year. That 2nd rounder has a pretty high stock if you ask me.

I wouldn't say destroy but I would rather have someone else. At least, even if he's inconsistent, he can still score 27 goals.
