Not a knock on Vokoun, but after the way tonights game went I would like to see Neuvy get the call against Carolina.

Well Vokoun played really well tonight.
Not really mad at him for any of the goals really.
Liking him a lot lately.

Yeah they get predictably complacent. Needs to be weeded out.

Not so much that I want to see Neuvy, but after 8 straight games, and being hung out to dry by his D-men a lot tonight, figured Vokoun could use a break.

The refs blew that call. At a minimum it should have been evened up on the penalties as that was a clear instigator on SS. No PP for the ning and the game ends 4-1 CAPS.

The sitting on leads and turning off the offense thing is getting dangerous.

I don't think Alzner dropping them was dumb if that's what you mean. That said, I'd prefer he didn't make a habit of that.

What a great way to start out the 2nd half of the season. I have no complaints other than the officiating. Some fluke TB goals towards the end, but that is sports. Hope these guys build on this. If look at the official 2nd half of the season, Ovy with 1 goal in 1 game and Brouwer with 3 goals in 1 game .

Go Caps!

Guy Boucher: "Our players have played hard in ridiculous situations where the other team waits for you at home while you go to bed at 4 o'clock and you played the last night. We played enough to win tonight. I'm sorry."

Cry more. Maybe the league is on to your stupid system, Guy. How about switching things up rather than blaming the league? Friggin' one trick pony.

Quite honestly, they did. Shoddy goal-tending was the culprit.
