Tonight at the game all hell broke lose during a third period altercation. The fighting takes place around the 2:15 mark. Joel Rechlicz goes to try to help out a team mate who usually doesn't fight (Zach Miskovic #25) and Tom Sestito decides to throw throw a punch from the bench which starts a huge altercation. Sestito should get a pretty good suspension since he is a repeat offender and I would suspect Recker to also get a suspension but who knows.
It was chaos. Sestito doesn't have a good reputation in Hershey. When he played for Syracuse he tried to fight a fan and was ejected and when he got ejected tonight he flicked off the crowd.
An intense game nearly spiraled out of control in the third amid a bench altercation that featured Hershey’s Joel Rechlicz and Adirondack’s Tom Sestito at its epicenter.
That had been foreshadowed during pregame warmups when the pair jawed at the red line. Rechlicz, a healthy scratch Friday, said he had seen Sestito slash Bears goalie Dany Sabourin during the pregame warmups at Citizens Bank Park.
“He’s throwing elbows at guys when I’m not in the lineup,” Rechlicz said. “When I am in the lineup, he’s quiet as a mouse. I don’t want to see any of my guys get hurt. I’ve got everybody’s back in there. Good team effort. We got the win. That’s the most important thing.”
Rechlicz crushed Sestito with a check late in the third. Sestito exited to the bench for a line change instead of taking an opportunity to fight.
“That’s what he does,” Rechlicz said. “He runs his mouth and doesn’t back anything up. I wasn’t too surprised or shocked about it.”

That was a 2 minute penalty in Milwaukee on Friday according to Ref Joe Sullivan!
There was no brawl between the Admirals and LEM.
Wow I'm surprised he wasn't given more for that. Sestito was given a 5 minute major for fighting and a game misconduct and Joel was given a 5 minute major for fighting, a game misconduct, and a 10 minute misconduct which is complete B.S.
sestito needs to take a puck to the face sometime soon, hes a classless goon who will float around the minors for a while before quietly disappearing from the hockey world ... cant stand guys like that, wouldnt surprise me if carcillo or avery is his idol
Big fan of Recher, but he and Carroll jumped Brown to touch things off there. Thanks for the link, dozed off watching on AHLlive and woke up as Sestito was leaving.

I thought that punching from the bench was at least a 10 minute, if not a gamer. I expect that their captain will get a suspension of at least one game for doing that.

No they didn't. Brown was the one who cheap shotted Recker on his way to the bench for a line change
I still can't believe that. Lehner gets 3 games for going crazy but Sestito gets one for assaulting people from the bench. If this were the NHL disciplining this altercation Sestito would have gotten a lot more
Sestito's side of the story, rare to hear that much from a player.
Good calls, no harm, small foul. No one really wants to see big suspensions here. Sestito really had no choice though, wasn't anywhere to go. Recher's just doing his job.. Good to see the league has some sense once in a while.

Wouldnt mind big suspensions. Neither of these guys are thye reasons their teams win games

Actually the Bears record is surprisingly better with Recker in the line up than out. I have to find the article on it but I do remember reading one earlier in the year about it
