You haven't seen Rolston play much... he's done. As an Isles fan, I almost wouldn't want to trade him to Boston because he's been THAT bad. He still has that wicked shot, but he's the NHL's Fulton Reed - Reed actually has a better shooting percentage most likely. He is still in the NHL because his cap hit puts the Islanders over the cap floor.

How can a seriously deep Boston team add more depth?

Is this a joke? lol

Our 2nd-3rd-4th defensemen don't look as bad as they really are thanks to Chara and our excellent bottom pairing.

Nope...Hammer's contract is very favorable to Dallas. Perhaps Robidas could be someone Boston is interested in or maybe Grossman.

You guys can take Jeff Schultz. He's got size. He keeps the bench nice and warm and is good for 3-8 minutes per game He's got great..uhmm... was +50 a few years ago?

Personally any of those guys I'd grab. Hannan I think might be ideal/

the Flames have some defensemen getting healthy and if cap space is not an issue then perhaps Cory Sarich? He is reliable defensively, has a nasty streak and is ultra competitive. He has a ring and steps it up in the post season and could be had for a 3rd or 4th rounder

he probably would but as long as the Flames are in the playoff hunt its unlikely they will move a top 4 defenseman

Chia usually doesnt trade for the "short term" rental player. You might thing kabs but if kabs played like he was in boston and woulda took a lil less he'd be definately a bruin still....Personally for forward I'd like to see boston attempt to get
on forward: Prospal, Koivu or Ruttu all of which could be had without trading the farm IMO
on defence: Gleason, or Clitsome (maybe hannan)

How bout Prospal,Clitsome for Kampfer, Caron+(pick and/or prospect)

Boston get some depth(upgrades)/ Columbus gets younger

How about Hemsky and Sutton for Boston's 1st, one of the prospects listed, and a 3rd or 4th. Gives the B's some depth for the playoff run with a skilled top six rw, and a #7 d-man who can fill in very well in case of injury or fatigue.

I'd like to see the Bruins replace Joe Schmorvo with someone else, or at the very least add another depth defenseman

Probably too much of a shakeup. The top-6 is set.

Think more of a Peverley/Kelly type of addition. Someone who can play anywhere from line 2-4 and not look out of place.

That makes sense with your lineup, for sure. If you are looking for a depth d-man, I'm sure Sutton, Barker and maybe Peckham could be available.

Or a Shawn Horcoff type. We could take that kid Seguin back to help balance the cap hit. Your welcome!

Wow lots of posters that didn't bother to read any of the comments about how their 13th forward is week, and their 7-8th d is non existent. Then go to propose trades that are not depth trades but trades with term left on the contract after this year.

Boston doesn't want to take on your mistakes. They're one of the best cap managed teams in the league. The other (and it pains me to admit this) being Vancouver. They're going to be looking for a Rome type of player. Someone who's a 5-7th guy, to cover for injuries in what should be another cup run.

Before Hunter changed the D style (zone to man) wasn't he doing fairly well there? If he's cheap I'd think several teams might be interested.

If we could get an upgrade on Corvo like we did on Morris when we got Seidenberg im all for it but i dont see that Seidenberg type of player out there this year.

So i'll be very happy if we can just add a solid d-man for the playoff run. There's a few options out there.

Plus, I like Hamill more than Peterson right now I think.

Value wise not bad, but not gonna happen.
I'm thinking that Corvo is not re-signed next year which make perfect sense to take on Robidas' contract (it is only for 2 more years) since Hamilton will be ready about then if not sooner. This provides depth for this year plus 2 more years if we count Hamilton. Petersen and Souray are both UFAs next year. IMO Robidas is an improvement over Corvo.

I could see us getting Sarich from you pretty cheap as you guys may need to move salary soon just to be cap compliant. My first interest is Hannan though.

As a Canes fan, you should be proposing Gleason to them.
