Not really current Panther news, but he used to have a drinking problem when he was with the team. Six year ago when with the Panthers he decided to give it up, and has been sober for 6 years now.

Good on him
If drinking 4-5 times a year is a problem wow are there are a lot of alcoholics at Panther games. What a fluff article its not like he was drinking every day like an alcoholic.

I don't know PBF, he brought this out, he admitted it was a problem, that's more than 4 or 5 bad nights.
“I tried it and felt better and better, and there was no reason to go back (to drinking). To be honest, it wasn’t hard (to quit). I wasn’t a guy who got blasted once a week — more like four or five times during the year and then also through the summer. It wasn’t like I was hung over every day. You’ve got to know yourself. When you’re young, it takes time to understand what’s good for you and what works.”
Looks clear in the off season it was a lot more.
That said, kudos to him for quitting before it completely took him over.
Killing me smalls. He stopped drinking a long time ago, though, I just don't think Tallon and company want to nostalgia to go into that realm.
I agree, i really do. I would consider him not out fo sentiment, but only if his present talents would help. No nostalgia we bought that ship with Jovo.

I just don't like him and don't want him back, but if I had a crystal ball and could see that he'd be integral in bringing us a Cup, I'd be all for it.

That just goes to show how 2 people can read the same thing differently. I read it as I was a young guy liked to party once in a while then realized alcohol is not good when you are a world class athlete. Learned I played better and felt better when I didn't go out and get hammered. That's sounds like what a lot of these guys learn as they grow up and realize how positive changes in how they treat their body affect their game.
