Agreed the NaySayers were saying that the Wings would collapse after Yzerman retired and we only won a cup in 2008 and almost another one in 2009 If Datsyuk does decide to go to Russia after next season all the more power to him we have enough talent coming down the pike that we will be okay for years to come.

Losing Datsyuk will make the Wings miss playoffs for sure. But it might be better in the end because they would be able to finally draft some higher picks

I don't think the young talent the team has is of the same scale as it was back then.
