I'm with JR on this one and Milbury is one of the guys I hate most in NHL broadcasting. Second only to DC. JR is correct here, at least when it comes to exposing Milbury's hypocrisy. Mr. Tough Guy almost crying when he sees Letang down.

While I was watching that hit live, I remember I was thinking that Letang should be more careful on ice and expecting hits better. He is not just one of the top Pens, but he also likes to dish out nasty hits himself. As such, he is a natural target, just like Dustin Brown. This season I have seen him leveled too many times. It's his fault that he puts himself in those positions over and over again.

I agree with JR for the most part in that exchange except that when I watched the hit from the original broadcast angle, it looks pretty clear to me that Letang does indeed catch some of the hit on his chin.

Penner sighting!

Man, if only Avery still had that fire instead of the sideshow bob act.

I was at that Kings/Ducks game, which was an afternoon game played at Staples. It was a completely one-sided game and it was one of the worst hockey games I've ever attended live and the one time I left a game early.

The Kings had clearly given up in that game and the only signs of life came from Sean Avery when he scrapped with Corey Perry. I recall this incident fueling Brian Hayward's anger and he publicly stated on the air that he'd like to see someone beat Avery up. Hayward is a true professional.

Saw that last night and thought the same thing. The best ever is that one of the Ducks players what hooked in the exact same fashion a minute later and the Sabres were called for a penalty yet no whining on Hayward's part. Then Perry slashes Regher in the back of the leg at the end of the game and Hayward just glosses over that minor detail. He started that whole thing and he is lucky the linesman jumped in before Regher pounded his face in.

Roenick is totally right.

Milbury is a hypocrit. If that were Marchand laying that hit on Sedin...he'd be praising it.

Any thoughts on JJ's +/- tonight vs the Avs?

I'm gonna go with a modest -1

So who the hell should I root for in the Coyotes-Flames game? I guess the Coyotes because the Flames are more directly competing with us for a playoff spot.. But hell, if the Coyotes start losing the Pacific Division title could be within our grasp considering the number of times the Kings play the Sharks down the stretch.

It'll probably be a 3 pointer though

You want the teams ahead of the Kings to lose. If they dont, the kings can't catch them. Phoenix in OT is the worst result.

Columbus would be a good win. Same with buffalo.

Make that 3-0...

Maybe the magic of February has finally left that team, their record was unreal, 11-0-1.
