I belive Fernandez have dual citizenships, so Luleå have managed to have him counted as a frenchman= EU-player.

D. Tucker - Luleå
R. Zednik - Luleå
F. Banham - Luleå
Kaberle is more then a rumour. I am pretty sure that Kaberle will sign with MODO latest on the 31st of Jan.

If Gagne and Fernandez has french passports, how many more
french canadians has dual passports? What about Super Mario ?

I wasn`t talking about Kaberle, he`s almost a "lock" for Modo.
I was talking about Gagne,

It´s possible that Gagne would sign for a swedish club, but i dont think LHC will sign him since they have said that all their money went to ensure that Knuble and Morrison would stay through the playoffs.

Staois hasn´t arrived yet and Malmö announced the same roster as the last game. So those two will most likely begin play next week.

More on Södertälje:

Linus Videll has been brought back to SSK now to boost the junior team for the rest of the season. I only wish though that he replaced Scott Thornton...

Give Thornton some time, hes only played 3 games so far, but i admit he looks lost om the big ice, Calder seems to be adjusting quite good though.
SSK`s centres next game: J. Eriksson, E. Norbäck, G. Karlsson, ?J. Ericsson?

Kronblom posted that Djurgarden's coach, is saying Nilsson will only be with Almtuna until Jan 31st.

Any idea if he'll be heading back to Hammarby or Djurgarden at that time?

What level of pro hockey is the Allsvenskan Norra Var? Is it the 3rd tier in Sweden? Comparable to ECHL in terms of status?

Would Hammarby be 2nd tier?

SuperAllsvenskan is more of a upgraded Allsvenskan (Tier II).

Read more about the swedish leagues here. This was written for last season but it´s still the same format. They have only replaced "Fortsättningsserien" with "Vår" (Spring).

North Americans that play in Allsvenskan usually come from the ECHL, Ryan Knox in Halmstad is one example. Vice versa for swedes, Daniel Karlsson in Nyköping played for Bakersfield and Condors former swedish defenseman Jonas Lennartsson played in Allsvenskan before he departed to North America.

Those are just a few examples of players so I would guess these two leagues are roughly equal even if the style is different.

I like this signing much better than the signing of miscellanious czech forwards. Karlberg is a good forward and he will play hard for Leksand.
