Sens 3 @ Habs 2 F/SO: The "Gonchar is now right-handed and wears 65" edition
A few thoughts:
1. Would the NHL consider a dry scrape/broom sweep for OT? Maybe an extra-wide attachment to the zamboni or even a manually-pushed broom/mop that would push all the snow to one end?
2. Andersen was phenomenal - let's all try and remember this performance next time Sens run into a tough loss.
3. During the Bingo game (they got blasted 6-4 after having a 4-2 lead) a name I frequently hear is ****hammerer. I mean Klinkhammer. Does he have any future in the O? I can't see anyone being sat in his place but just wondered if he's on the radar.
4. Congrats to Turris on a well-deserved goal - really love how he goes into the corners and his tactics and positioning for going for the puck instead of taking the body (or more the former than the latter).

Reason: profanity
I agree with the person that said the Sens need 1 more top 6 guy to make them a real threat in the playoffs. Smyth, Prospal, Ruutu, for rentals would be nice pieces. Smyth and Ruutu are guys that shine in the playoffs though.
I just can't understand what our problem with Montreal is. This looked like an exact replica of the 6-2 loss in December but this time goaltending (Anderson) came through for us. Andy stole the game plain and simple.
Oh well, back at it on Monday against the Jets. Make it 5!

4 pts in 16 playoff appearances is hardly shining.
Only Cowen has struggled but our offense had so much difficulty trying to make anything happen in the offensive zone until finally MacLean put Alfredsson back on the top line.
We need another threat on the top 6. Another top 4 would be nice but this game proved we need offense to finish off teams we should be winning against in regulation.
The team hasn't played a solid 60 minute effort in awhile imo. Anderson aka satan continues to bail the team out with their sloppy play. We only seem to show up in the last period.
Turris aka satan has made me into a big fan. I'm starting to not care as much about the second round pick. He's going to score some goals in bunches. Back to back games where elite goalies can't handle his shot. Very impressive.
