Yea Dirty Sanchez is a TERRIBLE QB. Jets just took steps to make their division that much easier for their opponents.

I just don't get why they did it. He isn't really any better now than he was as a rookie.

Colts also cut Dallas Clark and are lookin to trade freeney. Wonder if bears take out a flyer on clark and/or try to make a move for freeney

I have to admit, I'm pretty good at calling busts, especially at QB. Russell, Sanchez, Leinart, Young, etc... called em all.

I'm great at calling busts, I just predict every bears first rounder to bust.

I'm hearing the the Broncos are are being surprisingly aggressive in going after Manning - saying he can have whatever offense he wants to run and a big bag of money. Sounds like a good idea to me.

He also has some nice young talent on D for competing now

+ Wayne would likely be part of package deal so he would have his #1 WR

Tebow cult isn't gonna like it though if he goes to Denver

Elway wants Manning because it's the best way to get rid of Tebow without turning all of Denver against him.

lol @ the Jets is right.

You can imagine how this probably went down...

Jets call Peyton Manning - Peyton laughs at the idea of joining that circus, then hangs up the phone.

The Jets know the media will be all over them for not bringing in Manning and want to save the embarrassment of him laughing at them - so they pretend they are committed to Sanchez and give him an extension that he doesn't deserve.

Hey it's the NFL, where contracts are rarely guaranteed. They can cut him next year if they want.

If we picked up Freeney and he didn't want to restructure, we'd owe him $19m this year. So...yeesh.

I hope not. The last couple years Dallas Clark has been extremely brittle. And last year, when he was healthy, he was absolutely dreadful. Plus, he was always one-dimensional --- catching passes (although he dropped a lot last season). He sucks at run blocking. I think he's done personally. He may sign on somewhere, but his best days are behind him for sure. I just don't see us taking him. Not a good fit.

I'm still holding out a little hope we go after Martellus Bennett.

Hah. Old regime, perhaps. I'm hoping our new GM turns that around for us.

yeah me too IMO we rtealy need that #1 WR knox bennet Hester are so not clutch. Bennet is probably most clutch out of all of them. Vjax would be nice he would really solidify the #1WR spot for us .

If he didn't cost much(which I assume he wouldn't) I don't see the harm in giving him a shot. We basically have 1 TE right now who can possibly contribute in the passing game(kellen davis) and he's a pretty unknown commodity since he got used pretty rarely outside of being a blocker. If dallas clark plays near the level he used to having him in the middle would help clear alot of room on the outside.

What a coincidence. That's what I'm demanding for my contract.

So with free agency starting tomorrow I'm in on foregoing receiver and going hard after Mario Williams. If I'm going to overpay I'd rather it be a 26 year old defenisve end instead of a 29 year old wide receiver. Get Williams and go with 2 lesser vet wide receivers, draft a receiver at 19. Resign Steltz, Jennings, and Davis, pick up Orton at back up QB and Grubbs at guard.

We need a #1 WR bad. However, I think that V-Jax is going to the Redskins, or if he does sign here, it will be more than we should spend. So in that case, I'm all for filling other areas.

I'm not sure what we will do about a WR between FA and Draft, but I'm sure we will do SOMETHING. I've actually foregone trying to come up with predictions to the Bears move and have just resigned myself to sit back and enjoy watching it unfold, and hope that I'm at least mildly pleased when it's all said and done.
