I was at the game...only a section over and a few rows behind where that woman got hit and had to be carted off.

They looked outta sync almost like they needed another week or so of Spring training. There were so many popups or fly ball outs. They were just late on their swings.

We need a 3rd baseman and a real center fielder in the worst way. I dunno why they are so dead set on keeping Dex if he could potentially bring a good return. He stunk last year and he stinks so far this year.

This feels like one of those "well we are gonna stink this year but look out in 2013" type years.

I think that mishandle of the slow grounder by Cabrerra in the first inning between Chacin and Nelson rattled Chacin and in part led to him losing composure and giving up the HR. Which in turn led to all the air being sucked out of the crowd.

I also walked around in the team store (so over priced...even moreso than Pepsi Center and SA Field) and heard another fan mention that the Rox have abandoned the Black vest style jerseys. I really hope this person was wrong...those are the best jerseys we got. It is cool though that you can get a customized jersey while you wait. I can't believe they don't do that at Pepsi or SA Field. The line was huge.

Eventhough it was a crappy game I still had a blast. Tradition and all that going with my Dad. Plus getting a 3 day weekend doesnt hurt.

It sucks to tank in the MLB, the draft is a joke and you won't get any immediate dividends for 3-4 years (if your lucky).

Who knows though, our hitting seems to be solid on paper, we'll just need to wait to find out.

But hasn't it been solid on paper for years now?

EXTREMELY frustrated that this team continues to swing and miss with RISP. I don't give a damn about averages and homers, hit the damned ball when it matters most.

If you draft a top college pitcher, sometimes they can make the jump right away or 2 years at most.

Last year was carried completely by Tulo and Gonzalez and to a much lesser extent Helton. Take away those two (+ one) guys, and you had holes at basically every position where we were below league average (2B, RF, C) and at times, at the bottom of the majors (3B). O'Dowd went hard after a bunch of league average guys in hope that average would be enough to elevate this team since we expect league leading production from several positions (LF, SS).

This. The offense will go nowhere so long as every single player keeps swinging for the fences regardless of the situation. Story of the Rockies for the past like 4 years.

The rockies are still well below average at every position other than LF, 1B and SS.

I guess they might be average at 2B with Scutaro, but they are a team with black holes everywhere.

Here's the truth.

Remember when the rockies were better? They had some solid play at other postions. Brad Hawpe and (especially) Garret Atkins were good players. Sadly they both fell off of the map, and we've had a black hole at most spots for the last three years.

This team sucks at drafting.

There are only a couple of impact guys in the system, the rockies blow every single first round pick, and it's been forever since they signed anybody in FA that wasn't a bottom of the barrel signing, or an aging mid 30-something.

They have to hit a homerun with Arenado, with Pomeranz, with Rosario, and probably Fowler as well if they ever want to be a decent team again. I'm about done with these clowns.

We're only 4 games in out of 162....It's a long long season. They seem to shoot themselves in the foot always in April.

I do think this is the year Jim Tracy is fired though. Super nice guy but this team needs something.

This damn well better be the year Dan O'Dowd is fired. How many times has he gone with a plan only to scrap it and start all over again? How many first round picks can a guy blow before he finally gets held accountable?

And actually the Rox didn't shoot themselve sin the foot in April last season--they waited until May to do that.

Really, the fact that a while bunch of generation r players suddenly sucked was the worst thing to happen to the rockies.

Crap, Buffs' only offensive weapon is out for year. I believe in Connor Wood, sigh.

You'll have to surgically remove his lips from Monfort buttocks before that happens

Un...REAL. They manage to chase one of baseball's most dominant pitchers in three innings and still find a way to **** it all up. What a ****show.

Rockies are just lighting it up tonight.

Too bad we've given up 8 runs too at this point in the game.

Take the good with the bad I suppose.

Should spread runs out more. Could have used these all in the previous games.

Fear the beard? Boy, not an everyday event to see Brian Wilson in a mop-up role.

There's a reason he was last on the UT depth chart. I don't expect a whole lot from him.
