Lets have Birdman come in and get in a fight with Bynum. I'll take that trade off.

WTF happened to Chacin? He blows this year. Like, he's worse than Greg Reynolds right now.

That's what happens when you can't throw strikes.

I don't hate Bob Apodaca, but he needs to go.

Apparently did absolutely nothing this offseason. It's definitely showing. So disappointing. The Rox may actually be WORSE than they were last season.

Was at the game last night and made some money betting my friend he couldn't hit the strike zone.

Pretty sure that he was working out in the off-season, but the problem was that the Rockies didn't know where he was. Renck tweeted in Spring Training that Chacin looked same as last year.

I was just thinking, has a number ever been retired for two players? Lets say, best case scenario, Manning leads us to many super bowls and we retire his number, would we have it listed as both him and Tripucka?

He would have to bring us a championship if not multiple.

But the Avs retired Bourque's number after only two seasons so I suppose it's possible.

Yeah, I always thought he was a class act when he played for San Diego. Sad Day.

Cuddyer was a good signing. But damn we need pitching. This rediclious. A blown 5-0 lead yesterday and blown 6-0 lead tonight.

Jesus Christ are the rockies a joke.

Seriously, there isn't a single decent starter on the roster.

You know what the worst thing about watching the rockies is??

There's no ****ing hope for this team. Seriously. An old, old, old ass roster without much talent, no prospects in the system, and an owner who won't go get anybody.

****show.

The hopelessness is just different with this team.

I've watched the Cowboys trot out some real bums at QB. (Ryan Leaf, anyone??)

I've watched the Avs lose their way to the lottery.

I've watched Florida State blow it with a ton of talent on the roster year after year.

I've watched CU simply not have any talent on the roster year after year.

I've watched a lot of teams I like make some terrible decisions, but goddammit the rockies are just different in the fact that I know it's not going to happen. The day when the Rockies finally do something and win consistently just doesn't seem to be coming folks.

I've been a good footsoldier (and even an apologist) for the Rockies for over a decade, but I'm starting to tire of watching the Rockies get turned into a doormat every single summer.

A good fifteen years of being a Rockies fan, and all I got was one ****** playoff run.

No prospects? Pomeranz, White, Chatwood, Rosario, Wheeler, etc. If you want to talk about no hope, look at the White Sox.

I guess you can add Brothers as a prospect as well.

You're a FSU fan?

The rockies have one of the poorer systems in the league. Especially concerning when you look at the age of the roster.

Pomeranz, Rosario and Arenado will all start in the majors, Pomeranz should hopefully be a top two starter.

I think Alex White will be a #3 or 4, but beyond that Chatwood, Bettis, Matzek, Wheeler, ect ect are mainly guys who may or may not make it. Some (namely Matzek) are downright flyers at this point and could easily go either way.

The rockies have a history of blowing it with good prospects. Chin-Hui-Tsao, Ian Stewart, Greg Reynolds, Chris Ianetta, JD Closser, Ben Petrick, Franklin Morales, Casey Weathers, Chris Young, the list goes on and on and on.

Rex brothers may be a good eighth inning guy, I don't know if he will ever close.

He should still be down in triple A, the Rockies rushed him because their bullpen was in shambles last year. I"ve stated this all along.

Keith Law ranked our system as the 13th best, we are nowhere close to the poorest. We're not the Rays or Jays or anything, but we're not bad imo. Other sites, Fangraphs:21st, Baseball Prospectus:14th, can't find Baseball America. Obviously, that means nothing. These guys has to work out in the majors.
