So, it's not like that is that far off that pace.

Buffalo has seen all but four players (Vanek, Pominville, Adam, Enroth) who began the season with the team miss games with an injury.

Buffalo has 21 sets of back-to-back games this season.

The Sabres are now 1-9-0 in their last ten road games, which includes the ongoing eight game losing streak. They've been outscored 38-16.

The Islanders are now 9-3-1 in their last 13 against Buffalo, including 5-1-0 in their last six Coliseum meetings.

Luke Adam, Buf (LW/C): 0 pts in last 12 GP.

Brad Boyes, Buf (RW/C): 0 pts in last 6 GP.

Drew Stafford, Buf (RW/LW): 0 pts in last 5 GP.

Jordan Leopold, Buf (D): 0 pts in last 5 GP.

Ryan Miller, Buf (G): Hasn't won consecutive games since October 20-22.
And there's probably more...

With the Montreal firing, I believe it's now 170.

It's good to be Lindy.

Last season at this time Buffalo was 19-20-5 and 8 pts out of 8th
This season before the Det game Buffalo was 19-20-5 and 7 pts out of 8th

Funny that this season, nobody (including me) thinks that the Sabres can make the playoffs yet last year they went on a great run in the 2nd half of the season and did it. The spending to the cap in the off-season and our hot start made us at least hope we were in for a great season....now we see what we have and I can't believe how this season turned to a great steaming pile of poop.

Leino + Boyes = 20 pts in 66 games
8.5 million

we should've just kept Kotalik, and traded for Hagman...

They have just 36 goals in 20 road games.

They have scored one goal or none in five of the last 10 games.

19 year old rookie Gabriel Landeskog has as many hits as our top 6 point producers... combined.

More of an interesting fact:
Stats pulled off of NHL.com

Derek Roy:

GP: 43
G: 9
A: 16
PTS: 25
+/-: -8
S%: 9.2%

Paul Stastny:

GP:44
G:12
A:13
PTS: 25
+/-: -7
S%:11.7%

Ryan Getzlaf:
GP:44
G:7
A:24
PTS: 31
+/-: -16
S%: 7.5%

LOLed at the stats for this year.

-Nathan Gerbe, Brad Boyes, and Ville Leino have a combined 10 goals in 100 man games. That's one goal for every million they make.

-Boyes has 3 ES pts in 32 games. Seriously. He also has one goal since October 29. That's one goal in 23 games.

-Gerbe has two goals since Halloween. That's two goals in 28 games.

-Leino has two goals in his last 33 games.

Un-****ing-acceptable.

Andrew Shaw was drafted by the Blackhawks as a 20 year old in the 5th round of the 2011 draft.
He currently has four goals in seven games played.

His total of four goals is tied with or better than nine of the forwards that were on our opening roster (Boyes, Ellis, Ennis, Gaustad, Gerbe, Hecht, Kaleta, Leino, and McCormick).

worst statistic isn't a statistic but instead is a fact

This year, when players are called up from Rochester they almost always outperform the player they replaced.

How about that!

We're now three points out of 15th in the East, but Carolina has played three more games than us.

It has to do with perception.
And how everyone expected this team to steamroll the league from October onwards... Which was lulzy to begin with.

Leino had one good season on a line with obvious chemistry (and IMO can put up 50-55 points on a good line again, AS A WINGER).

Boyes was nowhere near the guy who scored 40 and 30 goals when Regier got him, for whatever reason.
Never understood that move, and nothing's changed.

Gerbe is a fan favorite, and gets "A for effort" every time, but what's his offensive potential? He's not exactly Danny Briere.
IMO, if he gets 15-18 goals per year, we're lucky.

Might as well cross-post this from the Winnipeg GBU since that thread will likely disappear quicker than this one: Sabres are 1-19-1 when trailing after two periods this season.
Not only is that a horrible stat at first glance, but it also means that we've been trailing after two periods in 21 of our 46 games.

We have a 50% chance of finishing in 14th or 15th in the conference.

The four players that average more ESTOI than Vanek/Pominville haven't outscored the duo combined.
