All I can think of is Daniel Brière who didn't want to sign with the Habs because of the pressure. He didn't want to be a savior for the club and I'm pretty sure that the Habs offered the same contract.
I feel bad for you young ones who never got to see '93
I saw the ones of 93, 86, and a couple at the end of the seventies. Unfortunately now a days, the Habs are just one the 30 teams and aren't special anymore except in the fans minds. They are just one of the 30 teams. Sad but true.
Can't wait until Toronto finishes in 9th and their smug fans get exactly what they deserve. They'll be more humble next year when they fall flat on their faces. Bahh who am I kidding? They'll be even worse

i agree
i remenber when leafs fans were all on james reimer
some said that he was better then Price some even said he was a top 5 goalie
all this leafs coverage is making me sick
last year i don't remenber us getting this much coverage or the 2009-10 reg season

Good read btw
Put yourself in Brière's shoes... err, skates back then. Look at the Habs and Fllyers rosters, and tell me which team looked better.
Meanwhile, the Sens will be celebrating their 21st year without a cup in the recent era, and the Leafs will celebrate their 45th. By the way, next year will also be the 20th anniversary of the last cup won by a Canadian team... just saying.

Uh, weren't we actually worse? People here were claiming we'd win the division or were a sure playoff bet because the team was the same "but better!" Meanwhile, this is Toronto's first legitimately good year in some time. They have a right to be a little smug about it, we certainly would be. Frankly, rivalry aside, I actually want them to make the playoffs. The Toronto bashing is fun but after seven years, it's a little tired. Besides I prefer when both teams are doing well. Montreal/Toronto in the playoffs would be awesome.
