I will watch this game with a pillow at work.

Time for some ridiculously boring hockey.

Can't wait for the game, Avs have a terrible record in Phx when I attend games (lived here 4 years and only witnessed 1 w) so lets hope we build on that W from last year and start a winning streak in the desert (that will undoubtably end when phx moves this summer).

Obligatory must win post. Win and we pass Minny, I'm assuming they'll lose to the Flyers

I'll be at the game tomorrow, wearing what else? My Avs Mueller jersey. What can I say? I like to incite the handful of fans who actually show up in Phoenix.

Yeah, cause we care about what a Dallas Stars fans say about our team, right?

Anyway, A big game again (d'uh). We really need to win against these teams we are battling with. We cannot afford to lose like we did against Nashville.

Its pretty true though.

Stastny, Johnson, Duchene, Mueller (different scenario, but was acquired as an underachiever), Varlamov, and Jones are all underachieving. At least by expectations for each, fair or not.

It may be a snoozer, but one of only a couple times a year I get to see my team without driving to Denver.

I'm so bloody tired, but I'm going to be so up for this. If however, I am not, ya'll better behave yourselves, you don't want sleep deprived me going after you with my ridiculously long rundown sentences, no, that is a situation none of us would want to be involved in because there is nothing worse than a run on sentence unless of course that run on sentence mentioned that Tebow time was a huge disappointment last night and that my hatred for the Patriots is only surpassed by my hatred for the Canucks, that would in fact possibly ruin my long run on sentence.

I don't know if your being sarcastic but the only underachiever so far in his career of the players you mentioned is EJ. Stastny career has been a success so far especially for a 2nd rounder, coming into the year you could make a case for Duchene going 1st overall in his draft year, Mueller has been injury struck, how do you underachieve without playing? Jones was drafted in the 9th(?) round, most don't even get a taste of the NHL and Varlamov really? A 23 year old goalie who has played 19 games in the playoffs and won 1 round. All the goalies in his draft year have yet to solidify themselves as number 1 goalies.

I was referring to this season. That's why I said underachievING not underachievERS.

Jones had 27 goals last season. Is on pace for 30 points.
Duchene is on pace for a career low in points.
Johnson is on pace for his 2nd worst season.
Varly is posting the worst numbers of his career.
Peter Mueller was acquired as a underachieving player. He had 15 good games here. That does not make him a success. I did say different scenario for him, and clearly stated he was acquired as an underachiever, hence the reason I put him in the list.
As for Stastny, I don't think anything really needs to be said there.

You mean to tell me any of those players have consistently played up to your expectations this season?

edit: I guess the Stars fan did say underachievers, so I can see why you mistook me saying they are career underachievers. I was simply just saying that these players are not living up to their abilities this season.

I'll be talking about the greatness of Ed Reed. A player that is a future hall of famer and possibly the best at his position of all time. Not some scrub that is the [mean word] Tebow. And I'll be talking about all of the championships miami won by beating the cornhuskers.
