Aittokallio looks like a future star. He has all the tools needed. Not much of a stickhandler though.

He's actuylly pretty good, unless you base your opinion on one great play by that Swedish player, Aitto did everything he should have done on that play.

I totally agree. I was at that semis final game and what a great play to grab the puck with his hand and make the pass.
The funny part was, in OT, Aittoallio went out again to play the puck and the whole crowd went NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Too funny(Canada wanted the Finns to win)

I think it's always risky to judge a player off a very limited sample size, but i really liked what I saw from Aittokallio. I love his attitude. Plus, I never bet against finnish goalies.

I guess we'll see.

Im suprised by the lack of Pickard supporters, even though I think Aitto will be better.

Goalies are supposed to throw the puck off the glass not a foot away from hit it. Making it easy from the opposition to pick it off.

He hit the glass and it bounced from it, things like that tend to happen in hockey and that Swedish player made a great play.

The puck never touched the glass tho.

Fast forward to the 2 minute mark, the replay clearly show the puck never hit the glass.

I'm going with Patterson, a lot of us were excited when the Avs drafted him, but his development stalled after getting stuck as a backup. This is his first real season as a starter and he has some spectacular numbers.

Aittokallio seems to have that "it" factor right now from everything i've been able to read up on. but goalies are like QB's, their confidence level is always fluctuating and that determines their ability to get over the hump and become good or better.

The few times I've seen Pickard play, I've come away unimpressed. He seems small in the net, slides on his knees too much, and gets a little too planted at times. Reminds me of Raycroft when I watched him.

Never seen Patterson play, but I've heard great things. Aittokallio i was very impressed with in the WJC. Plus according to people who went he had an excellent training camp with the Avs.

If Aittokallio gets his rebound control worked out, he'll be great. If not, then he will probably be "just" a starting SM-Liiga goalie (not everyone gets to be that good).

Great to have so many good goalie prospects.
All of three have a bright future and let's not forget Cedrick Desjardins, who has a good season so far.
One or two of them will make it here and according to this we have trade material.

Aittokallio is the sexy pick right now because of his big performance at the World Jrs, but I've liked Pickard since drafting him. He definietly has his up and down moments.

Not one mention of Trevor Cann though. Has everyone given up on him? Numbers aren't great right now, but all goalies develop at different speeds. He was another guy I was happy we drafted.
