Flyers' 2012 and 2013 Draft Picks

UPDATE: The 2012 Draft has passed.

This is what and from whom the Flyers currently own:

2013

• 1st: Philadelphia
• 2nd: Philadelphia
• 3rd: Philadelphia
• 4th: Phoenix (Sergei Bobrovsky trade with Columbus)
• 5th: Philadelphia
• 6th: Philadelphia
• 7th: Philadelphia

• The Wild's third round pick that the Flyers acquired for Darroll Powe was traded to Dallas in the Nicklas Grossmann deal.
• The Flyers' 2013 4th round pick was dealt to Tampa Bay (Pavel Kubina trade).
• The Panthers' 2012 or 2013 2nd round pick was dealt to the Lightning (Kubina trade) by the Flyers. Florida (Versteeg trade) has the option to determine which draft pick will be traded to Tampa Bay. The Flyers no longer own this pick.

So is there any timeframe as to when Florida chooses which 2nd we get? One would have to think it before the day of the draft.

My assumption is at some point after the 2011-12 regular season concludes but prior to the 2012 draft.

The likely factors are which draft does the Panthers' organization deem to have greater depth and more so, where do they estimate the 2013 pick will be in comparison to the 2012 actual finish.

Unless there is a trade that I'm missing somewhere I think we still have our 2012 2nd rnd pick and it's not currently on you list MSE. Did we trade it away recently and I just missed it?


Edit - You have the Flyers 2012 2nd rnd pick being traded in the Meszaros trade. I thought it was our 2011 2nd rnd pick that went in that deal (has TB drafting Lucas Lessio with that pick too), not our 2012 2nd. Can you verify this?? I use this as my source :

That was sent to Tampa Bay in the Meszaros trade. Right now, the Flyers' have the Kings and maybe the Panthers' 2012 2nd rounders.

The site is wrong on the date. If you go up to the Carcillo trade, it also says we traded Upshall and a 2011 2nd rounder.

I editted my post to include where I get my info from. Are you still sure about the Mesz trade because if so then Flyers History is wrong (and then whom did we take with our 2011 2nd or where did it go?)
