QUOTES TO NOTE
I have to do all those little things no matter what.
Some nights you don’t get the bounces, some nights they don’t go in, but there has to be a statement made every single night.
- Brian Boyle
We didn't bring the body like we wanted to last game. We wanted to do that tonight; we knew that they played last night.
If we come out and move our legs and hit or get hit early, we knew we'd have a chance to wear them down.
- Brad Richards
We talked about it immediately after Thursday’s game, in two or three other meetings before this game about playing the way we’re supposed to play.
The thing I like most about it is everybody contributed, that’s what was frustrating the last game, I don’t think everybody was engaged and I thought we answered well tonight.
- John Tortorella

TSN is reporting Budaj is in net for Montreal. I'll find the link.

I think we're long over due for a big win in Montreal.
Lundqvist is rested and has been playing extremely well.
Montreal is in shambles recently. Price has been the only reason they even have as many wins as they do.
Both teams played last night, but the Rangers always seems to play well in the 2nd game of back to backs under Torts.
Only thing that scares me is we seem to make back-up goalies look like Vezina candidates

Budaj is far from a terrible goalie. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to stand on his head...That being said, can gaborik and richards show up on the scoreboard already?

I guess I'll be watching this game on mute. I can NOT stand the duo of Emerick and Olcyzk. Pierre McGuire I can handle, the other two I can not.
Hopefully they're not doing the game and it's at least Dave Strader doing play by play..

I honestly don't mind Doc and Edzo. I don't especially like Pierre but he doesn't bother me too much, either... I think it's actually nice to get a change of announcers once in a while, but it's weird we have two back to back.
P.S., I was mistaken about it being the first -- I think we had one or two exclusive games in the past (last one I recall was on Versus vs. the Caps)

Well we had the Emerick-Olczyk duo for the Winter Classic too. I've just never, ever liked Emerick calling Rangers' games. To me he will always be the Devils announcer. I just get a weird vibe from him when he calls our games. I think there's been some anti-Rangers bias.

Should be a good test. For whatever reason the Habs always give us fits, hopefully we can work out a way to win. Need to bring the same energy as against the leafs.
Also, the tope two lines need to create more chances than they have lately

Erm, I'd really, really like for them to exclusively call our last two playoff series this season.

I've always liked Doc and haven't noticed any anti-Ranger bias at all. I look forward to hearing about some waffleboarding and knifing tonight!

Let's make it a shut down sweep of these two wonderful, storied franchises. Really shove how good this team is right into the faces of the two biggest media markets in hockey.
This is the game where our top guys have to get back on track offensively. The rest of the guys have to do exactly what they did to the Leafs: slow them down and don't give them any space to operate. The Canadiens, lucky as the NHL is to have them, tend to shoot high on Henke. He's improved that part of his game, but that's something he's probably keeping an eye on.
3-1, Rangers win. Callahan, Gaborik, Anisimov with goals. Richards with a couple of assists. Callahan and Girardi each with a nice, clean, throttling hit on Gomez.

Dubinsky is a “game day decision”... Do you think it will play this game or later this week?

I'd suspect he's out tonight, back for the next game.

Hate when doc does our games. Because I know deep down inside he hates the Rangers. Ed o is ok. He does have ties to the Rangers.
