That sounds good to me, especially since people couldn't find the news.

Like I said in another thread, he's pulling a Cammalleri.

I'd expect him to be traded soon..

Zidz take: http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/138431369.html

Yeo's take http://www.startribune.com/sports/blogs/138446754.html

me thinks he's on his way out, after tonight the hill he's going to have to climb to get Yeo's trust back is huge, yeo mentioned zanon he has looked good last 3 games he seems to be hustling again and his attitude does show it.

i'd say Fletcher is going to be working OT trying to move him

Zidlicky isn't happy because he knows the coaches and fans aren't happy with him. Would've liked Zids to be this dissatisfied long before Yeo and Co. got on his ass.

This is the part that bothers me:

Quote:
It’s good for team probably because the guys played pretty well the last two games, but for me
If it's good for the team....stop right there. He's making it completely about himself by bringing this into the media...this is just a selfish move plain and simple. I do agree that it's better that he didn't hide behind others but by acknowledging how this is making the team better he's just being self-centered.

As much as people seem to think otherwise, I think this actually might help his trade value a little bit. Sure, usually you think a team being "forced" to move a player, and a player who doesn't fit in would harm his value. However, in this case, you have a player who's underperforming, at well under career averages, and is getting healthy scratched. With this emerging like this, it seems that the problems he's having are with a lack of cohesion with the coach. It stands to reason that if he were put back where he works with the coach (say in a Trotz Nashville or a Richards Columbus) he could return to previous form.

On one hand, yes. However, if what's best for your coworkers is for you to be locked in a room for 3 hours every work day, where you could only watch your coworkers, not interact with them, and weren't allowed to do anything but watch them, would you do it? It's easy to say "do what's best for the team," but sometimes you have to "do what's best for you." It has to be incredibly hard to sit in the press box as a hockey player. I don't think you can criticize someone for being unhappy with that. They're not mindless zealots, and no one should want them to be.

You expect him to be upset. Not to go to the media and call out his coach.

He's probably gone for peanuts imo and good riddance.

I can see him going to Nashville, but what do you get in return for this guy that they would want to give up? We essentially need to trade blueline for blueline...

Pretty much the same thing I was thinking. He just wants out of here and it most likely has to do with the underperformance of the team in general. Zanon is another one who has shown disdain for the organization...package them together and wave goodbye for all I care.

My suggestion in the other thread was Zid + Zucker or Phillips for Blum.

I would totally be against that trade. We need all the scoring we can get, and getting rid of these high potential prospects for a D-man, I don't see it Blum anywhere near the value you are attributing to him. (56/ 6-9-15, -6) for Nashville is not screaming out superstar to me.

For example, Jared Spurgeon was (53/ 4-8-12, -1) in his first similar amount of games. Are you saying you would trade Zucker or Phillips + just to get Spurgeon if he was still with th Isles?

Yeo had a good point. He wouldn't want a player to open the paper and read something negative from the coach. It's called respect. So it's only fair that the player have the brains (and respect) to voice his concerns with the coach IN PRIVATE. There was no reason for him to go to Russo. All he did was make bigger waves and has now brought unnecessary, negative attention on his team.

K, Yeo has done something to severely anger the hockey gods. Let's just offer Zidlicky as a sacrifice and hope it satiates them. We are cursed.

Package Zids and Harding to somewhere that needs a goalie. New Jersey? I dont care if its a pick or a body, just get rid of both of them.

I'll never criticize a guy for being upset, but he could have done it like a man, and talked to Yeo in private. Instead, he *****ed about it to someone who couldn't change the situation.

...and as for your analogy. If you paid me 4 mil/year to be locked up in a closet for 3 hours, I'd take you up on that deal.

Never implied that he took the right route to deal with it, just that anyone who thinks it's horrible and wrong for him to feel the way he does is out to lunch.

Now if you replace "$4MM/yr" with "average salary for your job" do you think your statement's still true?

Everything I've heard about Zanon indicates that he's a hard worker through and through.

Where have you heard of him showing disdain for the organization?
