Great list. Seeing as Alexandre Carrier finally passed Loik Leveille, Do you think he can survive in the Q at his weight and size?

ya I think he will, he is too skilled not to survive, the guy is so good on the ice...Leville is a great player BUT his hockey sense is average at best which will lead him to a decent QMJHL career but pro could be in question unless he improves it, but Carrier is smart and very very skilled, his size is a little bellow but i could grow to 5'10...if he gets 5'11 this guy will be amazing, but right now his skill will over come in the QMJHL any size issue because of his hockey sense.

Keven Bouchard has had a pretty good run here this 2011-2012 season, first the opportunity to attend NHLPA's mentorship camp, and now being the number 1 goalie on Team Canada on it's road to Gold at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, it's great to see a young netminder have these many experiences so early. Adding to the fact you've got him top 5 for the upcoming Q draft, hopefully turns out to be a special goaltender! I've never really seen him but hopefully that's the case and he can be the next great goalie out of the Q!

i would like him to be special...who he reminds me of is Kevin Poulin, he has so much upside, lets see if he can reach it.

Every time I see these ranks with Keven Bouchard this high I start picturing him in Cape Breton. Seems like a perfect fit. Same goes for Audette, I always picture him as a Rouyn-Noranda Huskie.

when I say best player im not just talking about offense because at offense he is the best offensive player in the draft....I think Highmore is a better all around player than Audette, Highmore is bigger, stronger, he is very good playing in all three zones on the ice, has a great work ethic and is super fast and an great playmaker with excellent hands....Audette is small, and though he is great offensivly I find he has to mature on the ice a lot.

well i mean De Luca would be top 5 in the draft or just a little outside like 6th or 7th but probably no later than that.

Is there talks of De Luca going to the Q? This is the first time I've seen his name in one of these threads.

well he was ranked top 10 for the draft last year but told every team he was going NCAA and he stuck to it or else he would have been in the league this year...im not sure because we do not start calling players until the season is finished so I will not know until then but I can not see things changing for him, he is a great player but is on the smaller side, NCAA would be great for him.

No, but a team like Gatineau, Quebec or Halifax would have a shot at convincing him, because he would know the former lions that are their teams.

I think he'll end up in the Q, but in a big market.

if he would have told any team he was thinking about coming Quebec, Saint John, Moncton or Halifax would have been all over him in the 5th round last year, one team would have called him come round 3 or 4 if they suspected he might come and ask him at the draft table to see if anything change...but he never got picked, and right now it looks like he is going USHL next year.

De Luca will probably end up in the Q...im going to guess Sherbrooke takes him with their 2nd round pick which is going to be 20th overall

Some of those teams wouldnt want him though...

Its hard to question De Luca's raw ability to score goals, but the fact of the matter is there are teams who wouldnt touch him with a 12th rd pick...so its going to take a mix of a team wanting him and him wanting to go there...which is why I think he ends up in Sherbrooke.

Sorry do you mean teams wouldn't touch him because of his attitude or the LSL factor? Seeing as how he is walking all over the aaa league, if he said he wanted to go to the q, would he be the consensus number 1 pick?

I agree with Lala. I have a feeling that he's headed to Sherbrooke.

i can see that, De Luca I like myself but he does not fit my teams look for a player, thought he is one of the most skilled guys in the draft, if he does come QMJHL route I do not think my team will take him for attitude reasons.

Sherbrooke ? Meh maybe, but it's French there no ? Around Bromont ?

But pro coaches, maybe that entices him, and lots of ice time.

No, because of his age, and because he may not report.

I think he ends up in SJ.

Someone will convince him, now that his friends will are in the Q.

I dont want to bash the kid openly, but his commitment to Vermont isnt that strong...and still not a single QMJHL team took a 'flyer' on him last year...he talked about wanting to go NCAA last year but most of the people ive talked to didnt take that seriously and yet he wasnt drafted...

He may be walking all over the AAA league but the QMJHL is a different level and perhaps his game isnt transferable...in the Q you actually have to pass the puck and use your linemates from time to time...

And if im a Q GM (which im not) I wouldnt even have him in my 1st round based on talent...let alone 1st overall.

I think the convincing has to be done from De Luca to the team...not the other way around...

Like I said...his commitment to Vermont isnt strong, ive been hearing that since this time last year...so its not like teams will have to convince De Luca to report...I see it as him having to convince teams he is worthy of being selected by them because of numerous question marks.

see now I like his game, he is small, but strong, very fast, excellent stick handler, great shooter, he might have to learn to pass the puck but I have seen him make some passes to players that show he has vision which tells me he just does not want to pass most of the time as he probably sees them, but talent wise I would put him top 5 in this years draft.

Im not saying my opinion is popular, as im sure most people would put De Luca up there in terms of talent...only time will tell, but I think he is overrated.
