It was definitely deflected.

He was set for the puck going to one area and it changed direction in a fraction of a second and went high. That will fool even the best goalies.

Can't believe how the team can't stay on side entering the zone. Been called so many times already.

Our record when giving up the first goal is pretty atrocious IIRC.

Our first line is just so bland out there. No flow compared to earlier in the season. I understand teams are scouting them harder but the general flow of their game seems off. Simple breakout passes that create that momentum going down the ice seems to land in people's feet or are just totally off the target.

IMO Weiss is hurt, Versteeg is complacent, and Flash has been inconsistent all year, but it's THAT much more noticeable when the other two are off.

I'll take your word for it. I only saw the replay once. If the wrist shot was going low and then was tipped high, then I will take back my comment, because that seems to be the case right?

Reason why you always see the Panthers getting the first goal scored on them is because we lack the offense to GET the first goal.

I'd actually like to see what Matthias can do with Flash and Versteeg and put Weiss with Repik and whoever.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a player miss so many big punches.

Tuukka Rask certainly doesn't seem to have a problem with deflections and/or weird bounces...

Really good period. Flukey deflection on the goal against.

I liked what I saw. Best period since the second against Van. No reason we can't bring this effort all 60 min. Kopecky is still in a funk.

I'm not one to complain about officiating but I thought there were a lot of hooks Boston was getting away with.

Are you really comparing Rask to Clemmer? Rask is a stud. One of the best in the league, imo.

No, just saying he seems to be stopping everything right now.
All in all, a pretty good period.
