Bad news for Cowboys: As @NFLfootballinfo points out, defending Super-Bowl champ is 8-0 hosting kickoff game since games started in 2004.

Giants- Cowboys...I will be there. The Thursday game against Redskins after we won the Super Bowl was insane. Had an Apache Helicopter flyover, will always remember the guy hanging out the side of it waving a Giants towel.

49ers- Bears.
Patriots- Jets. I hope that happens if Pats win it.

I can't remember any of the Thursday matchups besides NYG-WAS and GB-NO, but have they done playoff rematches before?

Shocked they'd blow a heated divisional rivalry like that right off the bat. Especially when you could have the two worst teams playing on opening night and people will watch because football is back and it's hyped to be such an event.

But hey, at least we'll be guaranteed a damn good game to kickstart 2012.
