Pekka Rinne has been a giant in net for us this period.

Islanders can't find water in the ocean right now. We need to score one more and put this game out of reach.

Team has been incredibly sloppy almost like they don't think of ny as a real threat... Making the game look slow
Rinne is making some great saves!

suter was suppose to miss the game with an upper body injury... maybe he decided to play but then realized he wasn't 100%.. and with a somewhat safe 3-0 lead, he decided to just head to the locker room to not further injure himself. makes sense, right?

Suter was questionable before the game, we dress 7 dmen cause of it. Then he gets hurt, and wont return? Seems like a dumb decision, just sit him out. Dont risk further injury, unless something else is happening...

Maybe they are just taking him out for the rest of the game, just in case.

Well I hope so, but why would they do that? 3 goal lead isnt a for sure win with the amount of time left and if he can play through it, do it! Its why he was dressed. And I dont get why, WHY we would play him if he was hurt before hand. He may of aggravated it more. Its stupid either way

There is no reason to play him with a 3 goal lead, let him chill. If it gets close then they think about dressing him again.

whew.. glad that period is over... i knew that was coming. the typical letdown 20 minutes of play.. thank you rinne. at least it shows even when we play bad, we can hang in and battle. finish it out in the third guys.

A two goal lead is consistently referred to as the worst lead in hockey. Today, the Preds are giving an argument for the 3-0 lead being worse

I know this was an in-game thing, but this team plays so much better with Suter in the lineup.

Yeah the killer instinct needs to come back, sooner rather than later. I am already calling Legwand for the empty netter.
