Just check the article I posted in the GDT. It has been updated about 20 minutes ago.

Can't post the link right now. Good for him.

I've never had a problem with the guy. Sure he makes the odd mistake here and there but I find him to be pretty good. And he's young so he will only get better as time goes on.

He's been a decent pickup. Doesn't make many mistakes. Is better than Schultz!

He's been very good much of the year and has some offensive potential. Good call.

Not surprising given the trust Yeo/Fletcher have in him. Shouldn't be much more than the league minimum but a 1-way contract for both, sort of like Clayton Stoner 2 years ago(though his 2nd year was a 2-way) but Prosser's got a better skill-set and not the injury history. Solid depth guy(ideally a #6/7) but he's almost 26 so its unlikely he sees significant improvement.

Definitely the best NCAA free agent signing by GMCF to this point.

He is really good on our team, ideally a number 5 guy but he is solid this year and he looks like stifmeister.

Meh. Whatever. He's Greg Zanon 2.0. With that type of player it's only a matter of time before he falls out of favor and gets replaced. For what it's worth, Prosser has about the same even strength team goals against as Scandella, Zanon, Falk, and Lundin. He's only clearly free of Zidlicky's poor number. Stoner, Schultz, and Spurgeon are ahead of the pack. So I don't see how he's earned anything more than about league minimum. Keep it cheap.

Prosser has way better puck skills than Zanon.

Yeah he's pretty far from Greg Zanon. Prosser can handle and shoot the puck.

Yup. We let him walk and we are saying goodbye to Nick Leddy 2.0. Damned if, damned if not.

How about marginally better with the puck at best. He's not a puck moving defensemen, and I can't remember him ever taking a good shot or making a great setup. They've just played a difference of 52 minutes this year. They're tied in points, and Zanon has scored twice and taken another shot on goal. And Prosser has had 26 minutes more of PP time to work with. Prosser's skills are not translating to more production. He's your typical bottom-pairing/healthy scratch guy. Spurgeon looks like a star in comparison.

Zanon's 2 goals beg to differ.

Really? Prosser took a bomb on the PP last game and I thought it was Zidlicky. Honestly, first thought was "nobody on the Wild's blue line shoots like that, has to be Zids" but it was Prosser. Kid did good drawing a penalty from Ott. And he has the ability to skate and move the puck. He's a very good defensive prospect yet, and he hasn't been up all year either. Still improving.

He's chippy too. Always involved whenever opposing players are taking liberties.

I think he can be a 4/5 guy. At his age I'm not holding my breath on him becoming a 3/4 guy like Spurgeon, but he's definitely showing improvement over last year and holding his own with Falk getting some minutes.

You guys do realize you're arguing with someone who just, completely straight faced, made the claim that Prosser's 0.26 PPG is exactly equal to Zanon's 0.21 PPG (24% difference), Falk's 0.19 PPG (37% difference), and Lundin's 0.13 PPG (100% difference), while implying that Scandella is terrible right?

I mean, I point out the ridiculous inaccuracies of his posts all the time, but this one's a little over the top don't you think? He digs in so far as to say "they've only played a difference of 52 minutes" as if that were some tiny amount (rather than just shy of 3 full games played) but conveniently ignores the fact that Zanon has faced the weakest competition of our entire D (by a lot, and Prosser's in the top half) while being paired with the best players on the team (Prosser's in the middle of the pack).

A little nervous about giving him a one-way with the small sample size we've seen, but certainly he's earned an extension.
