I actually came here to ask something similar, my buddy is killing me on the wrap around 5 holes...how is he scoring them? Just aiming the shot low/middle for 5 hole or is he hitting any specials buttons? The puck always just barely trickles in.

I thought I downloaded the most recent roster update, but when I play in season mode as my Kings, the lines are all screwed up and completely wrong. I just played my first online matchmaking versus game last night though, and the lines were exactly right!
Am I missing something? How can I get those lines permanently applied to the rest of the game? Help would be appreciated.

The updates take all current injuries and that sort of thing in to consideration. What I do, I go to edit lines on the main menu (under My NHL12 then Roster Management) then I click the "coaches best lines" option (L3) on every team and save my rosters once I'm finished.
NBA 2K12 is the best sports games out there today, it's just so sick, so much realistic in every aspect of the game, it even has Post Game Press Conference, unbelievable.

Their My Player mode is sooooo unbelievably sick. If only NHL's BAP was 1/10 as good...
Their Association Mode (BAGM equivalent) is not that much better, if at all. Draft is way better, more stats and more financial planning but I didn't like the roster handling or training/XP as much.
So I just recently moved up from the All-Star difficulty to Superstar. I'm now getting bullied around with hits and relentless forechecking by the CPU, which is fine since I want to be challenged to score goals. My only problem is how easy it is for the AI to put me up against the boards/glass when I have the possession near the boards/glass. How do I avoid them from doing that?

The latest flavor of the month is scoring short side. All you have to do is drift in towards the goalie and he'll slightly cheat off the post giving you a perfect shot short side. It works a ton.
I score using it occasionally if the D is clogging the pass, but lately I've seen guys come down and try it over and over. And if they are good at it, it's about a 50% success play if you don't hit the guy before he gets too close.
I'm interested in making/joining an EASHL team, but I have little experience. If I could get a few games in with a team that would be great(as a tryout). Or maybe I could join a team with a group of guys just starting.

It is defendable, but it requires strict positioning and very good stick checking from everyone of your teammates. It also leaves either one point man or the slot more open than you would want, but it forces the opponent to try and make that pass instead of the easy walk in to the short side shot.

Hey guys just have a quick question. I have been running into freezing issues ONLY while playing BEAGM. They occur at 2 specific points in the game. The first, is anytime I have a large number of picks (I tend to trade off crappy players for 7th rounders and once had like 14 7th round picks in one draft). The game will immediately freeze once the draft has been completed.
The other time, during the second or third offseason, it will say that I have 0 players under contract and not allow me to sign anyone and it freezes if I tender an offer to an RFA. Has anyone else had these issues and found a fix for them? Thanks

Freezing after the draft is a simple one. You have too many unsigned prospects. I've run into that before. Make sure before you go into the draft you have enough available space for your draft picks or trade guys/picks at the draft.

I outshot a guy 38-6 and lost 2-1. It seems like EA rewards people who are awful at the game.
Since I hear some rumblings about PS3 EASHL - I've got a club of 5 that could use a couple of warm bodies. I'd prefer legend forwards (games at defenseman might be tough to come by), but if anyone isn't yet a legend and is willing to be coached up a bit, I can probably float a couple of extra bodies on the ice. My PSN is dlongx if anyone wants to add me.

With human defenders the chez goal scorers fade into the background and you can pretty much have your way with the opposition.
Agreed, but how can EA not release a simple patch that would fix the goalie from coming off the post? Lazy? Lack of funds? Either way, it's ugly. Like you say, the only way to really defend it is using a human D man. Computer Dmen are way to incompetent to recognize the same play over and over
