Define versatile. Daugavins was part of a fantastic 3rd line until injured players like Neil came back and took his spot. I'm still not sure what you expect Daugavins to do in his 4-6 minutes a night playing with Konopka and Butler. He's a very, very strong PKer who has offensive upside that can't be developed sitting on the 4th line. Problem is (or lack of a problem actually), we have a top 9 that's strong enough for Daugavins to be held back.

If given a shot in the top 6 for an elongated period of time, I think you'd see Condra-like numbers - perhaps slightly higher - while bringing a very responsible 2-way game to the table.

Considering we haven't gotten word out of a North American source (other than second hand from Europe I mean). This is interesting.

Wait...who would Borowiecki sub in for as a left-handed D-man?

If he plays maybe Phillips plays right side.

We already have 23 healthy players.
Boro + AP - that's too many bodies on the roster even if Daugavins goes back to AHL. Trade coming?

I think it is on Konopka. They need a real centre like winchester for daugavins to be effective. Hard to contribute with a centre who can't skate or hit or pass.

If Butler and Daugavins were with Winchester they would look better and get more minutes.

We've recalled two players? Any chance there is a trade in the works?

I mean, we're already carrying an extra defenceman...

Lee isn't joining the team to Toronto

With Brian Lee not making the trip to Toronto, it sounds like the #Sens may also be recalling Mark Borowiecki @TheBoroCop

This adds up. Lee(inj) not with #Sens in TOR.

Even if Lee is out they have 6 D so Borowiecki must be the spare - hope he plays.

Boro and Petersson are both spares. They might plug into the roster for a game or two during the road trip.

Good call.

They do have to start seeing how close some of these guys really are so they can make informed decisions in the next month. Don't know for sure until they play in the league.

Michalek - Spezza - Petersson
Foligno - Turris - Alfredsson
Greening - Smith - Condra
Butler - Konopka - Neil

If he's up let him play where he is protected and will get some rubber on his stick.

It's rare they treat a debut like this. If he's gonna get top ice time he's gonna have to prove quickly he deserves it.

Good move by Murray, get both guys on a long road trip and get them feeling like they fit in, debut them in games where there is little focus on the road as far away from Ottawa as possible.

See what we have for the playoffs, maybe Borocop is a 7-8 Dman you need in the playoffs, and Petersson can be magic when he's dancing.

Petersson will have a spectacular game, he can get the biscuit to the net through traffic in a Bure like way, he is amazing when he's flying and I expect him to have at least one incredible game and a highlite reel goal.

Garrioch asked Maclean about Brian Lee's bag missing from the dressing room during last night's PC. PM answered that he was injured: "lower body booboo"

I'm really excited to see both the guys called up. Borowiecki really impressed me from what I saw of him at the open practice back in October and Petersson has some good numbers in Binghamton.
