There is a reason he has ben playing 4 minutes a night, he is not that versitile.
Define versatile. Daugavins was part of a fantastic 3rd line until injured players like Neil came back and took his spot. I'm still not sure what you expect Daugavins to do in his 4-6 minutes a night playing with Konopka and Butler. He's a very, very strong PKer who has offensive upside that can't be developed sitting on the 4th line. Problem is (or lack of a problem actually), we have a top 9 that's strong enough for Daugavins to be held back.
If given a shot in the top 6 for an elongated period of time, I think you'd see Condra-like numbers - perhaps slightly higher - while bringing a very responsible 2-way game to the table.
Good move by Murray, get both guys on a long road trip and get them feeling like they fit in, debut them in games where there is little focus on the road as far away from Ottawa as possible.
See what we have for the playoffs, maybe Borocop is a 7-8 Dman you need in the playoffs, and Petersson can be magic when he's dancing.
Petersson will have a spectacular game, he can get the biscuit to the net through traffic in a Bure like way, he is amazing when he's flying and I expect him to have at least one incredible game and a highlite reel goal.
