That punch by Kovalchuk on Schenn hurt me.

Would be a great fit. No chance he leaves Vancouver though.

These Isles 3rd jerseys are terrible. The gray/black/orange/blue color scheme and that awful looking diamond that extends from the bottom of the jersey to the top of the pants. Embarrassing.

Yup pretty good results. 3 points clear of Philly/Boston and 5 clear of Pens. The best part is that we have games in hand on those teams as well.

Sam Gagner just scored. 2.5 minutes in.

Ready for a repeat?

And there's another point for Gagner, two on the night.

This isn't real life...

Gagner is collecting an entire season's worth of highlights over two games.

11 points in two games for Ganger, jesus christ.

Well if you're going to turn the corner, might as well do it grand fashion!

No but seriously hopefully he keeps progressing to becoming more consistent and living up to his draft position.

In either 1988 or 1989, the Red Wings, playing at home, came back from 6-0 against Pittsburgh to tie the game 6-6. No overtime or shootout in those days. At the time, that was the first time it had ever happened in the NHL. Not sure if it has happened since. Incredibly, your correspondent was at that game -- my first and only time I've ever been at The Joe.

The Ranger game referenced was at a neutral site (Halifax?) and the Rangerrs trailed Washington 6-1 and came back to win 8-6.

EC came up empty in a shootout attempt tonight.

Just saw it on NHL network and he tried the Forsberg move and he pulled it off but goalie made a great toe save.

I wouldn't. The way they're playing, if they get defensive help at the deadline, they could be a difficult team to beat in the 1st round.

Winning the Stanley Cup would mean so much more if we beat them along the way.

Shootout in Edmonton. Gagner was originally given credit with an assist on the tying Edmonton goal in the final minute but they took it away from him

Watched that whole Detroit-Edmonton game, that was good stuff. If not for that half clapper top cheddar by Bertuzzi in the shootout, Gagner would've had the game winner.

Kevin Weekes was the color analyst for that game on HNIC, the guy is seriously a budding star in the hockey broadcasting world. Could MSG please fire Micheletti and hire Weekes full time?
