I know the Habs are in deeeeeeep waters but this coming week is the most important week, they need to beat these teams like Toronto, Buffalo, Washington etc..

Here is some inspiration.

My question to you is...Why?

Why do you feel that we should believe in the team clawing its way back to the top this year?

This wanting to believe business is all short term. I want to believe in the long term. None of this "miracle run" crap.

I want consistent dominance. And I BELIEVE that it starts with us drafting in the top 5 this year.

That's what I want to believe in.

And I want to believe in Aliens too.

trolling.

i believe too, partly, because i always will until the chance is 0%, partly to balance the hate.

PS don't fall into the trap that you're "supporting mediocrity" because you have no influence over the game! just enjoy it as much as you want, it's there for that.
We have some great players, that need our support, win or lose! Patches, Price, Subban, AK, Cole, Emelin and yes even Pleck are all fun to watch. DD keeps proving everyone wrong; especially me. Eller is progressing awesomely, Diaz came out of nowhere, Blunden is starting to get comfortable, White might be back soon? lots of good things.
At the end, if we suck, if we sell, if we drop to a top 5 pick, good for us will help us out, if not whatever, habs will manage

It's hard to believe when you see the Habs winning two games in a row, then losing two, winning one, losing two again in a row.

But hey...GO HABS GO!

As much as I want to believe in this team, they just have never showed constant effort from game to game..They beat the best team in the league easily and then we'll go lose to some ****** team..

Go Habs Go though!

I'm not very confident that this team will make the playoffs, but I do believe this roster is capable of being far better than our record indicates.

If we can have a couple of good weeks and get Markov back on the ice you never know...

I agree.

Do I believe this team can make it to 8th place? YES, but that would probably mean PG finds a way to fix some major issues with short term solutions before the deadline ("panic mode" trades, etc).

Do I think this team could go far in this year's playoffs? Not really. When you look at the teams on top of our conference, there's no real place for another cinderella story.

Do I want to see this team lose on purpose? Not at all. They lost many games so far for a few reasons. Injuries, coaching problems, struggling vets... I don't think you can tank in Montreal. People will still get tickets for the game. They will still express their opinions and the Org. will listen, whatever some will say.

Do I feel like I'm not a real fan because I'm not expecting the Habs to do anything it takes just to reach the playoffs? Some of you might think so. But as a fan I want this team to look forward and offer us an exciting and PROMISING team for seasons to come. And it doesn't seem so easy when you always finish in the middle of the pack year after year.

We don't have a franchise player. Teams can win the cup without a Crosby in the lineup, but most contenders spent at least a couple years trying to build something we don't have right now.

I want the Habs to do their best they can. Give our young players some icetime, win a few games, lose some, just what they did so far this season. Just don't try to bring the odd rentals in exchange for picks or prospects just to fill the Bell Center 2 or 3 times this spring. IMHO That would be a waste.

I hope this team can be a contender again. Maybe not next year, but I want to see improvement, not stagnation.

Go Habs Go!

I believe in the future. We can afford to bury bad contracts if we can't trade them and our best player (Price) is under 25-years-old and we have guys like Gallagher, Eller, Pacioretty, and Subban still developing.

its times like this where u can separate the REAL fans from the poseurs.people actuall wanna tank?lol.brutal.i got no time for quitters. i totally think the habs can make the playoffs.but we really need to string sum wins together cause we re almost too deep.but either way this team is real close to being a major threat.

I was a bandwagon fan. When I was a kid, I saw the Canadiens win a Stanley Cup on TV. Been a fan ever since.

That, and I have Cajun blood in me. Geaux Habs Geaux.
