Parenteau to the Penguins does make some sense. The Isles are a lottery team and it would make sense to unload PA when his value is at it's highest. He's a pending UFA and he's cheap - 1.25M. He's not a sexy name, but he can help Pitt. He could fetch a 2nd rounder which is reasonable.
There was a thread on here like 3 weeks ago regarding a Parenteau to pens trade. it just makes a lot of sense for both teams. Penguins get to add some offensive depth going into the playoffs for a cheap cap hit and the Islanders get something for a pending UFA.
I would do Mason Raymond for Matt Niskanen + Craig Adams
Leaves us with a bit of a hole on the 3rd line, but we could probably move a couple picks for a guy like Larose to fill the gap
You would have to fight Dan Byslma in a steel cage match with Gary Roberts as the referee to get Craig Adams. Adams might be a 4th liner who doesn't get more than 10 minutes a game but there is no doubt Bylsma loves him and puts him out there when it counts.
Parenteau is more of a setup man I believe then a goal scorer. Crosby obviously has shown he can put up a lot of goals so having a good play maker with him could work out. That being said having a guy like raymond who is a fast skater and better shot could look nice along side crosby.
Personally don't think Parenteau is a good fit on this team. I think we need more of a sniper than a set up man for the Crosby line, because Kunitz himself is a pretty solid playmaker. Also the reason I don't really want Hemsky.
I still think the best winger on the market that can play in Bylsma's system is Ruutu. Can't discount the wingers in the past who didn't work out for Bylsma. They all seemed to lack aggression and solid 2 way play.

Yeah he would be ideal coming back for us. We need that 4th liner who can play a solid defensive game. Our 4th line does the bulk of our heavy lifting in the defensive zone, so Adams would be a solid candidate.
I would probably still do it if it was Asham coming our way, maybe like a 4th rounder coming our way so we can try and flip something for a 3rd liner like Chad Larose to offset the loss of Raymond.
Perry would be a good fit. It would take a lot to get him though.
I think Hemsky and Malkin would dominate together. They are both amazing skaters and great danglers. Having them both on the ice at the same time would make the defenseman's head spin.
The Penguins are a team worth watching as the trade deadline approaches. Whether C Sidney Crosby returns, GM Ray Shero has the assets to deal and money to spend to try to make sure Pittsburgh makes the playoffs. With C Jordan Staal and, hopefully, Crosby back before the playoffs, the Penguins need help on the wings. Top candidate: P.A. Parenteau of the Islanders would be a nice fit.
