burkes not paid to make the playoffs, so now what?

so all leaf fans think he should make a trade to get us in the playoffs. burke does what he wants when he wants, and does not give a **** what us fans think. he signed wilson, no other manager in any sport would of done that. they both blame everyone else for the teams disgrace. hope the new onwership see this, that as long as burke and wilson are running this team, they will never win anything.

Why exactly does Burke "need" to stay?

For all he has done well, I feel he has made many mistakes as well.

Personally feel we missed out when Doug Armstrong went to St. Louis.

If we're on the topic of Burke, he's put together a deep team capable of making it into the playoffs as a 6-8 seed WITH GOOD COACHING... Wilson has to be running on thin ice. 3-6 since his extension is ridiculous and unacceptable.

Burke has to consider firing his old friend if they keep dropping like this. While a trade may help, this team NEEDS a coaching change for sustained success

one player won't make alot of difference considering this team has numerous problems. This team isn't disciplined enough.

The Burke hate isn't merited, yet.

at this point i wouldnt care if RW or BB were fired. I first and foremost want a coaching change. However, if BB refuses to change the coaching situation, get both of those ******** out of here.

Wilson makes terrible coaching decisions, absolutely ridiculous he's still the head coach from what we seen last season.

Sure, let's give up solid young assets for a bandaid, get murked in the first round and stay a stagnant team for a decade instead of letting the rebuild continue and progressing every year.

Don't ruin the last 4 years of suffering in for a quick fix then have to start the process all over again.

Ron Wilson NEEDS to be fired. That is the #1 priority. No other team in the NHL would ever put up with 4 years of failure.

Look at the teams like Ottawa and STL since the Coaching changes. They are kicking ass.

If Burke does not fire Wilson, he should be removed as the GM.

Remember that Burke has a big ego (or so people say) therefore he needs to win to feed it.

Honestly, what GM prefers losing? Don't be a fool.

There is just no logic or common human sense to that.

Ron Wilson has been signed everywhere, always. By everybody.

He has won some trades, yes.

Though I will argue very emphatically that we still lost the Kessel deal by a wide margin. I'm not discrediting Kessel as a player, but for my personal philosphy on the sport, winning in sport and the style of player I would pursue, Kessel does falls short.

Mostly, I don't find that Burke and his team put a great deal of stock into hockey IQ. I find that Burke signs a great deal of "dumb" players and this leads to our players being unable to player composed, possesion hockey.

But MOST importantly, for all his trade wins here and there, he is LOSING hockey games. He has CONSISTENLY lost hockey games and when I look at our current depth chart I don't see any player who I believe can change the fortunes of this club.
