I am trying to decide whether the fact that my center ice feed is down is a bad thing based on the level of "play" the CAPS have shown so far.

The numbers are deceiving. I could be wrong but aren’t they giving up a full goal less a game?

i mute gormley whenever he comes on now. and i refuse to call him gormley. i call him "boom goes the dynamite." because he's just that awkward on television.

Can anyone name a Russian who lived up to a rich, long term contract?

Vish, Fedorov, Kovalev, Kovalchuk, Kasparaitis, Yashin. Who else turned out to be a total disappointment? Malkin is earning his cash actually. Sigh.

a) define "long term contract."
b) put the prime example of long terms contracts gone bad (dipietro) to the side.
c) name any players who "lived up to" his "long term contract" (as defined in a, above).

honestly, i'm quite tired at the moment, but can't come up with anyone.

Malkins not in a long-term deal, Datsyuk earns it too.

Anyways OV looks done.

I dont know how many of You remember latvian offense-minded D Sandis Ozolinsh, but this team could certainly use a player who can skate with the puck and take it in to the offensive zone.

Shame he is a little too old now.

Ozolinsh is on the roster actually. You just haven't seem him because he's out with a groin injury, going in for surgery.

sandis ozolinish can only be offered as a solution to any problem in jest. or at least i shall choose to take the suggestion that way.

ozolinish was gonchar, only worse at defense, softer, and worse at offense. and far more fragile. to use a more modern reference, he's all the bad qualities of mike green with none of the good.

too harsh?

It's sad when the most exciting part of this game was the grown-men tricycle race at the intermission...
