Hall still in the room. Doesn't look like he will play and might have been avoided if he was wearing his helmet. Now that will be a hot topic. Helmets in warm up mandatory?

Everything just seemed so wrong in the clip. Hall trips over puck. takes out Smid. Potter slips himself on his own, jumps over Smid and steps on Halls face...

Ugly.

People in the game day thread is blaming Potter. Of course it looks like he could have stopped or moved out of the way, but they played it in slow motion, it all happened too quick.

I blame Todd Richards, I think he put the puck there while nobody was looking :p

LOL. Good one PVB.

It seems like it's not nearly as serious as it could have been, that's a huge relief, i was worried that the skate got his eye which could have been career threatening.
I refuse to watch the video.

Good lord...

I guess he wanted to look pretty for all the girls. You would think with all the injuries, most of them bizarre, that he would have the brain power to wear his helmet while on the ice.

Hall didn't go to the hospital because it's only a bad cut, nothing too serious. They have a plastic surgeon on hand doing the stitches. They want to stitch it up right so they are taking their time stitching it. GREAT news!

That player that tried to jump over the pile is a fk IDIOT for doing that.

Who does that while wearing a sharp weapon for shoes when you got people underneath you?

You just FALL on top of them you IDIOT!

Hope the kid is ok, tough break

Why would he? He has an aire of infallibility about him. Take for example his fight w/Dorsett last year.*intention* He thought he'd fight, show well and get respect league wide that he'd fought a good middleweight in the NHL(proving he's not soft).*reality* He fought Dorsett, hung in there, then on the after fight wrestling match slipped and broke his ankle.
Season done.

hey wait a sec, is there a pattern with slipping?
seriously though, I hope he's OK

Taylor hall is getting a plastic surgeon to fix him up. Oilers said its not serious just don't want him with a very ba scar. So unlikely he will return and that's the news from sportsnet during the intermission

Because they're professionals and usually do an okay job of jumping over other players.

I don't blame him, even if he was cleared to play. You'd want to take some time to ****ing get over something like that.

Hall's wired differently, I would almost bet it was the medical staff's call.

I'd HAVE to agree, crap I remember what Hamonic did to him in the Memorial Cup. He completely folded him, only for him to score a highlite reel goal later in the game.

LOL at people blaming potter in this thread and GDT, slow mo shows Potter may have slipped, but if you don't believe that, what would you have done in that split second? kept skating?

see: Wayne Simmonds jumping over Claude Giroux

It's funny, my first thought upon hearing he hadn't been taken to the hospital was: "I wonder if he'll be back in the second or third?"

The kid is tough as all hell, but you'd gotta think getting a skate blade to the forehead really makes you think.
