easy peasy.. because the chicks dig on warm up time.. they come to see the studs golden flowing locs..

if the chicks wanna go to the game.. their dudes will take em..

and more chicks at the game means more dudes at the game.. means more tickets sold..

it`s like wrestling and rock concerts..

I'm not pissed off the accident happened anymore than the next fan I'm pissed off because to me it is simple common sense. Like always wearing your bike helmet, always wearing your seat belt.
i dont wear mine at home on the trainer, i may start now in case i fall of my bike on the stationary trainer and hit my head on the carpet... and/or get my face stuck in the spokes. anythings possible.

Why stop at helmets during warm up?

It was a freak accident.

Can you tell me of one serious head injury that happened to an Oiler in warm up besides this one in the entire history of the organization?
Are you arguing against it? They wear all their other gear during warm up. Why not helmets? There no good reason not to.

Not sure why the same kind of safety standards dont apply to spoiled millionaires. They have to wear seat belts when they drive and obey speed limits just like you and I do.

If I got hurt at work because I wasnt wearing proper safety equipment I would not only be fired, I could face legal action against me.

Katz and the NHL have invested millions of dollars in players, they have a right to enforce basic safety rules. Unfortunately the players union will probably fight against rules that would keep its players safe at work.
Yes, actually you should have a choice, as long as you arent putting anyone else in danger. But over the years our rights and freedoms have gradually been eroded under the guise of "personal safety". And that includes the workplace.

I think they should have the freedom to choose. I dont wear a helmet when I go to the local outdoor rink. Do you? Would you like to have it mandated that you have to wear a helmet, or would you like to have the freedom to choose for yourself?

Oh yes, safety rules are just stupid and pointless right? Come on. Hundreds of workers die in Canada every year because they want to enjoy the personal freedom of not wearing seatbelts, harnesses, etc. It's a bunch of macho BS that leaves widows and orphans behind ... but hey, it's never cool to wear a helmet or a life jacket. Gimme a freakin' break.

Oh, and it's usually young workers that fall victim too - because they don't know any better. If safety rules weren't in place, they wouldn't have the first clue.

You're not being paid millions of dollars at your local rink, ie, that's not your workplace. Those in positions of power have a responsibility to protect those workers - and really it makes sense to protect them given what the players mean to each franchise.

But since you brought it up, it's not uncommon to see little kids wearing helmets at the local rink and there's no reason that habit shouldn't continue into adulthood.

Doubtful. If it doesnt come from one of the Oilers scribes, its likely bunk.

Gregor never said he's done for the season. He just reported the Rimer tweet. Looking into it.

I am really having a hard time figuring out how a laceration to the face would keep Hall out the rest of the year (unless there is damage to his eye or anything besides a deep cut). I am certainly no doctor though.

So apparently he wanted to play last night and then suddenly he's going to miss 3 months? Not buying it unless something else is wrong.

Rumours of Taylor Hall being done for the year are untrue. At this point that hasn't been decided.

btw i think Potter said he was gonna switch numbers for next season

GOOD IDEA

Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and then the baby looked at me.

I cut my head above my eye down to the skull. 90 stitches to close it up. It was so deep it took a couple months before it wasn't a wound basically.

If its where the helmet sits it could take a number of weeks before it can take the force of being hit to not open the wound back up.

I don't believe it, and being that he only had 30 stitches I don't think it's going to be anywhere near as bad as mine (plus I didn't have the medical care million athletes get)
