Foligno needs to start to get through his head what is dirty and what isn't. That's what, his 3rd or 4th dirty/questionable hit this season already?

Hopefully he can man up and answer to whoever challenges him just like how Ottawa jumped Kane yesterday.

Foligno certainly intended to flip Phaneuf but he hit him in the hip or at absolute worst the upper leg.

You could call it interference I guess, but the actual hit wasn't bad.

Shouldn't the hitter be leading which his hips and not have his shoulders as the principle point of contact on a low hit?

***** move, should be interesting to see how this plays out.
love the name, not the view lol it's already been played out. Phaneuf was coming down the boards, Foligno went down to catchhim with a hipcheck, Phaneuf tried to avoid/brace, caused Foligno catch him with the shoulder.

Clearly Phaneuf's ability to avoid a check is overrated.

I'll have to watch the replay again.

P.S.
There is a difference between a hip check and leaning/crouching to defend against an upcoming check. The latter is way more dangerous.
