Yes that would make more sense but considering he went after their star player, me thinks Erskine is going right for him and that's why I asked earlier this morning if he was in or not. They are dressing the guy after being a healthy scratch for the past few games and we have no heavy weight fighters on this team, so who do you think he is going for? I hope nothing happens of this but I don't like it

This should be fair

A bandwagon fan doesn't even know who Mikhail Grigorenko or Nail Yakupov is. Who are you to judge other fans?

Can't believe how stubborn can some fans be.

I hope Bourque doesn't accept the fight by accidentally pressing "Y" while button mashing.

In reality, Erskine challenges Bourque. Bourque says "No". Erskine calls him names and proceeds to give him many a mean look until they do the same dance next time they're on the ice together. Caps fans (and maybe some B's fans and the odd fighting obsessed Habs fan) will be outraged by Bourque's unwillingness to "man-up".

Maybe Bourque takes a better trade-off with another more useful player from the Caps, but it would be stupid for him to take coincidental majors with the Caps' 7th dman. There's no reason to hurt his new team because he feels honour-bound to take the medicine for something he did with his old team.

Well he always has the choice to decline an invitation from Erskine or to hug if Erskine jumps him but I guess you want him to man up and just end this quick with Erskine? Let's just hope that if they fight he has a good strategy.

Could be wrong but I doubt anything happens.

Both teams need the points and won't be focused on anything but that imo.

Well like I said he ain't going to have much of a choice considering we still have all 4 games left against them.

It's games like this(ans Boston, Ottawa games) where it would be nice to have a 4th line heavyweight.

That sucks. I wish we had an heavyweight in the lineup instead of Darche.

Totally agreed, your extra forward should be a guy that can fight and play hockey. Only used against certain teams.

That's what I think.

The only situation in which I think the Caps start getting out of line is if there's significant separation on the scoreboard.

If it's close, there will probably be a little chirping, extra attention paid to finishing checks on Bourque and a guy like Erskine may try to justify his existence by challenging him, but not much else.

It's Matt Hendricks who will fight Rene Bourque tonight. Not Erskine.
And even if Hendricks is a legit middleweight, Bourque can beat him...

I can't view anything from youtube since I'm at work but what's Bourque's resume when it comes to fighting?

HABS FAN 4 LIFE...!
That's BS...i've been a diehard Habs fan for over 25 years but i definitely think its in the organizations best interests to drop in the standings this year.

I don't care what anybody says, the odds of us coming back and making the playoffs are extremely thin to none. We are a mediocre team with mediocre management and a mediocre prospect pool.

I'm the first to admit that i can't cheer for them to lose, that will never happen. But i do see a silver lining with each loss. The team tanks, veterans that are not part of the plan get traded for picks/prospects. Our mess of a GM gets fired, we draft a young impact player in the 1st round and we continue to change our mix of players to bring in guys with more size, grit and passion in their game.

I'd much rather be sitting pretty in a playoff spot right now, but given the choice between scraping and clawing into 10th in the conference or getting a top 5 pick in the draft and ensuring that the right moves get made...ill take the later any day of the week at this point.

He only has 4 fights in the NHL, but he is pretty decent (3 wins, 1 draw)

I'm sure the players wouldn't deliberately lose. If the team goes on a hot streak, so be it. No sense gnashing one's teeth if the Habs climb in the standings. It might signify that they're really better than most fans and commentators think.
