Nice to see Högberg as one of two goalies. He has played really well the entire season and it is well deserved. Big, calm and fluent goalie who probably could've played with men already (maybe not SEL though). Think he might challenge Dansk for the position as number one.
I'm also surprised Burakovsky didn't make the team. He, Victor Öhman and Robert Hägg was our best players in that tourney IMO.
He is playing with the U17 team instead of the U18 team in Finland, I have not watched him play but his stats in Superelit are better than most players on this team.
This agegroup doesn't have the amount of highend-players like the 90's and 91's perhaps but it looks pretty deep. Theres quite a few players that could have been on the team, especially on the forward side.
To put it another way, the swedish b-team for this tournament wouldn't be that much worse than the a-team. The b-team actually played very well against the americans best players USA NTDP in Switzerland this year.
Maybe the team lacks enough high end players to be a favourite going in to the u-18wjc , but we will have a team that could fight for the medals.
4 frw eligible in the 2013 draft, add to that Sorensen who's injured and Johnson. From a frw perspective the 2013 draft is looking pretty deep at this point.
Filip Forsberg - Elias Lindholm - Sebastian Collberg
Jacob De la Rose - Erik Karlsson - Gustav Possler
Andre Burakovsky - Filip Sandberg - Andreas Johnson
Tobias Törnqvist - Gustav Rydahl - Ludvig Nilsson
Ludvig Byström - Hampus Lindholm
Niklas Folin - Linus Arnesson
Calle Andersson - Christian Djoos

André Burakovsky is on fire right now, scored 16 points in 9 games in J-20 fortsättningserie, and leads the league in scoring by that. Maybe he should be on the team?

I have never seen this guy play but his stats look great, his father was a pretty good player as well. What type of player is he, is he more of a playmaker than a sniper?

Yeah, hard to keep Burakovsky and De la Rose off the roster as both are playing in Allsvenskan right now. Burakovsky also have 41 points in 41 games in SuperElit.
