If you can get rid of the Gomez contract, you're not getting screwed over regardless of the return. Scott's LNTC means he has veto power of sorts though.

I dont see a trade with Winnipeg happening.
I dont think Chevy will make many or any trades prior to the deadline.

But you never know I guess.

What are Montreal's needs? Winnipeg may have a depth defenseman to deal (like a Hainsey or Oduya).

The Jets are already pretty thin up front, so I can't see them dealing a forward away.

But like King said, it's probably more likely than not that the Jets stand pat until the deadline.

Brodeur's replacement to New Jersey? Price for Parise, Clarkson and picks (conditional picks based on Parise re-signing in Montreal).

Devils might be interested in Travis Moen for the bottom 6. No idea if MTL wants to shop him though.

Posted it on the Devils board also. I'd be looking definitely at Moen, and at least a little consideration for one of Weber/Diaz. I would guess something around Palmieri and picks regardless of players on the MTL side.

LOL, first that rumour wasn't true, second why the hell would MTL trade for an unsigned Parise.

I don't think its anything out of the ordinary but MTL does have some UFA that can be good deadline acquisitions, Moen, A.Kost(maybe if not resigned),Gill,Campoli..

If anything is in the works at all I don't think it will be for Palmieri.

Nick was sent down last night. Josefson was called up and so was Brad Mills this morning.

You can have Mills for a 7th

Also Cam Janssen and Matt Taormina are already listed as our scratches for tonight.

I would say Moen is definately being shopped. The year he is having is pricing him out of our range for next season.

I think a 2012 2nd gets him

Possible, but not before the end of the year.

They had him dealt to the Islanders early in the season, but Scott vetoed it. At that point, I'd have told him, "you have two choices. You can play in the NHL for the Islanders and fly to games, or you can go to Hamilton and ride the bus for the rest of your contract. What's it gonna be?"

There are teams that run the risk of going below the cap floor. For those teams, Gomez becomes an 'asset'. When you factor in those teams are often budget-conscious and Scott's actual salary will be $2 million below his cap hit, he becomes a little more interesting.

There's a trade to be made out there, but they have to find a dance partner and Scott has to be willing to dance. For the record, I don't think the Jets or Devils are that partner. I think this more likely looking at returns for the likes of Gill, Campoli, Moen or Kostitsyn.

Moen will be shopped at deadline if they are out of the playoffs race

Absolutely available, UFA at season end and having a great season. I think the Habs will push for a 2nd not sure if a team bites but he is having that good of a year, 2nd or 3rd should get it done
