For one of the most effective goalscorers ever to play the game, Teemu Selänne has surprisingly weak shot. And by that I mean it lacks power. Obviously it's accurate, quick and he can shoot from every position... So, you don't have to be Kovalchuk to score lots of goals. Daniel Sedin is another example of a guy who can score but doesn't have the hardest shot you've seen.
For absolutely worst shot, I have to mention Tim Gleason. It literally hurts to see him take that slapshot and his wrister is even worse!
You seriously post a multiple goal leader and 600+ goal scorer as the worst shot in the league? Like really? Really? Like really?
This just in.... Weakest player in the NHL... Chara.... He is tall but skinny.
I don't think there can be a better description of Gomez's game than this one. Gomez is Wayne Gretzky until he reaches the other team's blue line. I remember when the Habs got him, he scored a pretty nice one-timer in his first or second game, and there I thought the criticism about his shot was overblown by Rangers fans. Scotty has been proving me wrong ever since.
What made it even worse was that he took a ton of shots when he was on the Rangers. They were slow as hell to. I'm talking narcoleptic snail slow.
Two Penguins could win this one. Craig Adams shot is putrid, inaccurate, and rarely even bothered to be taken...Paul Martin's comes with all the ferocity of a feral marshmallow Peep.
“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
