Its a rivalry but only between Sid and Ovi. Without Crosby, theres no rivalry.

This is only a question for those who just want to whine and complain about it.
This IS a rivalry. Anyone who disagrees either weren't around in the 90s, or refuse to acknowledge those who were. Crosby/Ovechkin is simply Phase II or III of the rivalry.
It has always been a rivalry, its just that since the lockout ended the media has excessively overhyped the Crosby vs. Ovechkin nonsense and crammed in down everyone's throats. They sensationalize this false rivalry and take away from the actual historical rivalry, which is pretty ******* obnoxious as well as a disservice to the fanbases.
