Bank mistake, they deposit 2000$ in your account and let you keep it, or

Your favorite team wins the cup

I spent more than that on playoff tickets in 2007.

It would have been nice if they'd won.

Tell them take it back, then set my bets right so I win $2000 after my team wins.

If my team's gonna win the cup I want them to do it fairly and earn it, not win it because of some magic decision I myself make. That would take all the awsomeness out of it. Gimme the money please.

Winning the Cup in Game 7 OT and a delay of game penalty to the opposite team gives me a game puck which I sell for 2000$.

Cup any day of the week and three thousand times on Sunday.

Why? Most people can earn two grand in three or four weeks. Seeing your favorite team win the Cup is something that may only happen once in a lifetime.

I'd donate $2000 to charity to see my team win the cup.
(Not that I would want my team to win that way off some crazy magic voodoo-karma, as an earlier poster elaborated, but you catch my drift.)

I'm thinking my team has a good shot in the near future anyways so I'm goona go and get the cash.. Especially at this time when I'm in business of buying instead of renting a new place to live.

I'd like to try both before making a decision.

But in all seriousness, if you're a diehard fan of a team, then you've devoted several hours and emotions of your life to that team (and most likely money as well if you've purchased tickets, merchandise, etc.)

I think the feeling that you'd get from them winning the Cup would be much more gratifying and long-lasting than what $2000 will get you.

I do go and I'd still take the Cup. And it ain't close. $2000 bucks won't matter in the long run, but the memories of a Stanley Cup will.

Or if you already have and realize that money comes and goes.

2K is insignificant if you are talking about "thousands and thousands" in tuition.
