Cup without a doubt. Think of all the years you've spent two and a half hours just to see your team (oilers) not make the playoffs or get eliminated. $2000? That's a couple weeks worth opposed to perhaps a lifetime of never seeing your team take that cup.
As a 22 year old student buried with college debt, $2,000 dollars is a lot of money. Once I have an established career my answer will most likely change, but for now I take the $2,000

This was tough for me, but I went with a Cup. If I found $2000, I would just by Ranger tickets anyway, so I might as well go with a Cup.

If my team's gonna win the cup I want them to do it fairly and earn it, not win it because of some magic decision I myself make. That would take all the awsomeness out of it. Gimme the money please.
I'm broke just like a bunch of others here, but this is a no brainer for me. I'd take the cup easily, and I know most of my buddies i watch hockey with would do the same. I'm a little disappointed in hf after this thread to be honest. I mean this is just $2000 we are talking about.
If hockey is "just a game" to you, then I guess I can understand. I play/watch/read hockey every day, so it is much more than that to me.
im not 10 years old and so emotionally invested in a group of guys who wouldnt care if i died so gimmie the $2000 pls
Well except being 10, I'm the exact opposite. The Rangers are my life. I'm 19 and when I work in the summer, I save $780 for a 10 game package for the Rangers. I don't have bills and there's no need fora car in NY. With $2000, all I would do is just buy more tickets. So instead, I would rather them win the Cup because that $2000 would be spent on the Rangers anyway.
This. I take the money. Sure, I'm a fan and I want the cup, but I'm also a student and poor. $2000 would make a tangible and immediate difference in my life.
Hockey's great and I'm invested in the success of my team, but I'm far more invested in the success of my life and my goals. Maybe in a decade when I (hopefully) have a decent job and am not drowning in student loans I'd feel different.
