Yeah, I know I get crapped on for wanting to tank so soon, but half of our line-up is out a month or more still.

I just don't want a middling early 10's to teens pick. I want well within the Top 10 to grab an awesome D or forward prospect this year.

I want somebody like Reinhart, Finn, Rielly(could fall due to an ACL injury this year), Lindholm, some of these guys who are showing offensive D stats where they are playing. We don't know if Brodin has the side to him yet, but if we can't get an offensive D I'd rather shoot for a star forward in the top 10.

After the trade deadline, if we have another first rounder or a couple of second rounders(due to moving down and trades), grab a few D then too.

As I pointed out, if we perform equally over the next 40 days as we had over the previous 40 days, we'll fall to 7th. If you expand that to 6 weeks either way, we actually only fall to around 9th. The odds of us doing that poorly while playing Columbus twice, and Anaheim once are not high. We'll have a hard time finishing below 10th, even if we continue to struggle as badly as we have.

Most of those guys are going to go in the teens. To use FC's rankings, only one of the guys you mentioned is expected to go top 10 (Rielly). They have Finn at 16 and Reinhart at 18. Plus there's a number of other guys in that same vein such as Ceci (38 pts in 41 games), Pouliot (32 pts in 45 games), and Schmaltz (21 pts in 27 games). Any team that misses the playoffs will be in position to grab an offensive d-man if they want to (unless there's a major run, then we might be able to grab a Galchenyuk or Forsberg), they just might not get to pick which one they like best.

We're doing that P90x crap. It's tough but it's working, so far. I want to stay committed and keep going with it because I know if I miss a day here or there it's not going to work as well and if I miss a lot then I'll just quit at some point. Just not worth it.

I can just as easily come here and read through the thread while resting up and then watch the replay on FSN. No classes until monday ftw.

I got home from work at about 1130 and slept most of the day.

So I missed out on the board being down. Hopefully everything that needed fixing is done.

Also, just had McDonalds for the first time in months. Tried the new "McBites". Not the greatest but didn't feel like death either...

As for the game, uh, ya, about that. I'll settle for a player or two to actually have a standout game (in a good way). Hopefully that's not too much to ask for.

Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro are tonight's TSN commentators.

I'm ok with that.

I'm just happy I get to watch hockey.

Not expecting a win tonight, but it would be a plus.
