Higher upside? Depends on who you ask I suppose.

If both were offered to me and I could only take one, I'd pick Price over Rask.

So for me it's Price.

Both of these goalies don't have much upside. They are already in their primes pretty much. So it's Price. Easily.

Rask could not of made such a bad team a playoff team (referring to last season with the habs).

Yeah no goalies develop after theyre 23 years old. Way over the hump

If I had to choose one right now, I'd choose Rask 10 times out of 10 with contracts factored in. Both great young goalies though.

Ya except rask brought a team 1 game away from a eastern conference finals if his team didn't play back. Also they upset the sabres. Price has no defense i'll give him that though.

Would definitely be nice to have Zdeno Chara play 30 minutes a game in front of you. bah instead we are lucky enough to have Hal Gill

Haha too dumb. Someones mad the leafs traded Rask. Yea 23 years old sure is a goalies prime. Rask has proved more in the playoffs than Price has and led the NHL in GAA and save% his rookie year and this year.

Let's see Rask play 70+ games a season before claiming he's better than Price. I just can't see how you can claim he's better than Price. A 3rd option "I first need to see Rask play as my team's #1" should be added to this poll just to filter some of the B's votes.

Higher upside? Probably Tuukka considering he is only 23, but if you are starting a franchise and have to pick one (taking contracts out) you probably have to go with Price because he is more proven yet still young.

Like OMG a Bruins fan said that?

Price, but only because he's younger. Just wait, those 2 months will make all the difference!

But yeah, Price.

Price by far. It's a lot easier to have great stats when you play ~40 games a year with a Big Z in front of you.

December 14th, 2011 Rask started against LA. Chara missed the game with a leg injury.

Rask had a 41 save shutout.... so... there is that.

Oh I get it... Rask and Price at 23 year old have topped out, but yet you say Kulemin at 25 has untapped potential....

No, not a homer or bias poster at all

... Can't believe Rask is leading that poll. Let's see how Rask do when he is a full time N.1 goalie before even comparing him to Price who's constantly facing a load of **** in Montréal because of his patchwork defense.

Voted Price, and I can acknowledge Rask is a good goalie, but I'll wait until he's carrying his team on his shoulder the way Price, or even Thomas, did last season.

Rask did that two years ago when I put a non playoff Bruins team to the playoff, upsetting the Sabres in the process.

I cant believe its this close.... No disrespect to Rask I think he is a very talented goaltender but his team is phenomenal at limiting second chances, giving up quality chances and moving guys from infront of the net. While price is the exact opposite situation and still puts up very good numbers.

Based on pure talent Price's skill set is the best in the nhl he is incredibly fast, huge in his net and is arguably the most technically sound. I have been lucky enough to shoot at some high end goalie schools and all the goalie instructors agree that Price's skill set is incredible. He is also in a very tough market in terms of pressure which he has done well with considering how young he is.

Tough, tough choice.

Probably Price, by the thinnest possible margin.

Until Price gets a real defense in front of him though, Rask will always have the better numbers.
