I love everyone blindly pinning that one on Martin even though nobody dropped back to cover him when he jumped up on the play. Apparently Martin is the only defenseman to ever jump up on the rush.

Martin should literally be our last option on the PP. I'm talking post-Engelland.

I really hope the Pens can pick it up... not confident in this one.

It's just frustrating because it seems every time he pinches in, something bad happens.

Good news and bad news. Bad news; Just got home from dinner, so I've missed everything up to this point. Good news; Got the hot waitress' number.

How's the team looked thus far?

Him and TK on the same unit is a recipe for terrible-angle shots, weak shots and turnovers along the boards.

Martin wasn't to blame for the goal against, but he shouldn't ever go in for a shot either. He has the worst shot in the league, and that's not an exaggeration.

Hey I'm not saying Martin never makes a bad play. He makes his share. But defensive breakdowns are usually a result of more than just a defenseman pinching in. Especially in a situation like that where guys had more than enough time to get back and cover his position.

Letang's looking surprisingly sharp and on-form so far. I'm wondering if fatigue will become a factor as the game wears on though.

Honestly, Shero should just trade Tangradi while he still has some value left. He has shown nothing in any game in his NHL career to show that he deserves more than 10 minutes a game. And his stats are horrible even for a 4th liner.

6'4 power forward prospects don't grow on trees. That should prolong his trade value a bit longer.

That's the argument I made the other day. If you're a d-man that scores 10 to 14 goals a year, then go for it.

But Jesus you never score. Play defense and be done with it. It was Neal half assing it on the backcheck, but still.

Disagree. It was a shot through a screen. Not exactly an easy save for Lundqvist. One of his better saves this period in fact.

Every shot Martin takes is an easy save. There's a reason why our bottom-pairing enforcer has twice as many goals as he does.
