The Good
Once mastered, pulse pitching is devastating to your opponents
Great presentation
Diamond Dynasty is addictive A
ll modes, including Road to the Show, are just as enjoyable as in past years.
The Bad
Requires plenty of time for new players to feel comfortable
Not all aspects of Move support are good
Online issues persist.
Sorry but the bad are hardly indicative of sub-8 score imo
It's apparent that the review is terrible, obviously played by a dunce who wants "accessibility" over realism.

Those ratings got an 7.5... seems fine to me I wouldve given 8.5 but I havent played it yet
Also in MLB 11 the show I found it harder to draw a walk then hit a homerun so hopefully walks are a bit easier to get
I lost my first game, I think, 5-4 in 11-innings. Jays vs. Rangers.
My second game, I pitched amazing. I had a no-hitter through 7.1 innings, but Jed Lowrie broke it up with a bloop single. I ended up giving up 2-hits and winning 7-1 (their run was unearned).
I've drawn plenty of walks this year since I'm being more patient at the plate. The pitch speed is slower, which is great. In my first game I had 6 walks. My second game, I was killing so I was less patient because I was doing so well and only drew 1.
I do fine drawing walks on default, but if you're having trouble just adjust the strike slider for the CPU.
I've played 2 full games so far both against Cleveland in Franchise mode
Won 12-5
Snider had a grandslam
Lincecum went 8 IP 2 ER
Cordero crapped himself in the ninth allowed 3 runs
Won 3-2
Snider 5-5, 2 2B
Mark Reynolds walk off double in the 12th
*Snider is a freaking beast haha
Overall the games very good and realistic only problem is the game kept freezing for a sec then it unfroze it didn't bother me but just thought I'd mention that don't know if it's just me or not

Mine doesn't freeze,.
There has always been a slight pause between an out and the diamond toss.

whoa whoa 5 walks? If even someone like me can draw walks at that rate for a game I think I might just cave and buy this. It was one of my biggest complaints that killed the realism of a RTTS character. I wonder if you could build an RTTS character like a rickey henderson who has insane abilities to draw walks and can get 100 steals in a season?
Hate that they removed scouting reports from the player cards in franchise mode. Pretty frustrating as it was always a good read and always indicative of the difference between drafting a good player and terrible player
First game, got struck out 18 times by Verlander. 2 hits.
I simply cannot identify pitch type, speed, location when thrown, location, ending location, PERIOD.
I adjusted the sliders to my favor and I still can't hit.
Sad part is, I've owned The Show every year since inception and MVP before that. I've just inexplicably lost my ability to identify pitches and hit them in baseball games period. It's extremely frustrating.
I bought last years game, played maybe 20 hours of it. Got frustrated with hitting. Said I was never gonna buy another one. Then I read about how improved the physics are so I get my 9$ for MLB 11 and take the plunge with 12.
