Hockeybuzz has a bad reputation because of Eklund. Engels's blog is the same one that he posts on CTV's page. It's the only reaason i go on Hockeybuzz, he's up there with the best Habs bloggers there is right now tbh.

As most people know, I'm a whole lot pro-Q. Biased to a certain extent. Yet, a guy like Tremblay is actually working real hard at doing the exact opposite. To always keep bashing the team, it makes people hate the players more than the messengers. I believe that in this board, most people who keeps saying the "Well TBay really proves you can't win with a bunch of francos" are actually more against Tremblay and Co than the players themselves. And that's not productive. He's irritating and usually totally misinformed. And frankly, he's going more with the entertainment part than the informative one until he gets out of hockey and talks about something else. THEN he becomes interesting.

But as a fan of francos and the Q, I can seriously say that he's making my "job" at selling the product much tougher than it should be. And it's a damn shame.

I greatly appreciate the man, he's got more balls and self-respect than most. He's certainly biased towards the French, which I feel is certainly perfectly legitimate and doesn't at all means a bias against English in return.

He's a colour commentator, quite like Don Cherry minus the racism, temper and ridiculous clothes and shouldn't be thought as much more.

What balls? He's never contradicted whatever show he's in. In the media world, Mathias Brunet has some balls. While everybody loves to bash Timmins as if he was one of the worst ever, he had the balls to demonstrate he wasn't. Tremblay talks in the Villeneuve show, they always agree. He's at TVA Sports, they all laugh and agree. Again, where are the balls? And to think that he has nothing against Anglos, well you really haven't paid attention.

He's highly disrespectful of fans and extremely bitter all the time.

Tremblay is a bad columnist because he uses hockey as a vehicle to push his personal agenda. I agree, journalists who write columns need personal opinion, but everything I've read from him is anti-Habs, Federalist-Conspiracy, french this, etc.

You say he's a good journalist, okay; what are your thoughts on Glen Beck? Keith Olbermann? They're no different. While the latter take "neutral" journalism to push their own political ideas, the former does the same with language. There's much more than language to the culture of the Canadiens (not a place and time to discuss this), and his spin on well, everything makes me not want to read him, because I know he's not an objective writer giving his opinion, he's someone who writes through the lens of separatism and language debate. If you support that, go ahead. But don't call him a good journalist, because his columns are Pro-Sep. propaganda.

Mathias Brunet is the best.

I don't really like Tremblay as a journalist/columnist but he's still have accomplished much more in that domain than in TV/movies writing.
