In all fairness, there has been a lot of sea sickness throughout the crew, so it's impossible to know if turning to avoid the iceberg is a good idea or not.

Still feel like a jerk but it's a good laugh.

All's well that ends well. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the kind words. You nailed it.

Just wanted to drop by and say good game, and I hope things look brighter for the Sabres soon. I've never been to Buffalo, but I have long had the sense that if cities were people Winnipeg and Buffalo would enjoy having beers and talking hockey together.

I wish your team a successful renewal and many thrilling hockey games to come.

Hopefully enough of them will be able to return to their posts so that when we do collide, we can at least see how they'll fare on next season's ship.

Oh my, equal parts humor and sadness.

One last thing, after browsing your GDT a bit: God bless all your hearts for "getting" the razzing and noise of the Winnipeg crowd. Some other fanbases apparently expect us to golf-clap and quietly admire their team when they're playing against the Jets. You all rock.

I think a lot of us have been disheartened by how quiet our arena has gotten lately. It's nice to see some honest to goodness enthusiasm for your team, win lose or draw. Love it.

I swear, some of the metaphor's used in the GDT's and GBU threads of late are stuff legends are made of.
This one just made me chuckle to no end, thank you jamers. Your sense of humor is definitely a win.

I'm truly at a loss for words. I'm emotionless when it comes to this team at this point, and it's probably weird for those who know me to see.

I don't know what the remedy is. We can't score. We can't trade guys like Roy and Stafford for piles of **** - yet teams see how pathetic we are and how desperately in need of a shakeup we are, making a lot of value in our guys probably diminish-to-vanish.

Ugliest of the ugly tonight (that's basically my new GBU format):

- Great Grangini in our zone
- Leotard in our own zone
- Derek Roy (I just wanna scream "Derek ****ingggg Farrile" like I just got shot every time he messes up [every time he touches the puck])
- Leino continues to be useless
- zero flow to the offense, no sense of urgency trying to get up ice, forwards stagnant and flat footed in the offensive zone…just so easy to defend, my god.

On the bright side, Sekera continues to establish himself as a bonafide top pairing defenseman. Even if he isn't always intentionally matched against opponents' top line, he certainly has been and will continue to be showing all signs of being apt and effective. I think a top four of him, Myers, Ehrhoff, and Regehr is strongly formidable.

Ah well, that's what I get for lurking on your Post GDT. I'll give you this, you guys have a wonderful gallows humor thing going on here. I seriously admire that in a fan base. Thanks for the compliments on our crowd.

Agreed. All we need now is for Miller and the scorers not named Vanek and Pominville to sack up and do their jobs...good lord, I might as well be asking for the moon.

"I ain't even mad"....?

And yes, Sekera's been a bright spot and continued his development.
With McNabb looking good for the future, they've got a strong D corpse D there, assuming Myers reaches his potential (which is a top-5 D-man in the league).

"I ain't even mad, I don't wanna sound mad. I feel marvelous. Dblock. Cheers."

First thing to pop into my head

Goal scoring, and the lack of it, will continue to be a problem unless moves are made. Nobody besides Armia is in the pipeline.

I hope not, going on any kind of run at this point will hurt things soooo much more than help.

Agreed. That would present the possibility of discounting the 2 month long wretchedness we've witnessed.

vanek has 1G+1A in his last 10 games. he is rather stone cold since his 7 game point streak ended.

pominville has 5G+2A in his last 10 games.
so both are producing under their pace now.

i would not exclude them from "the scorers" to do their jobs. pominville way less than vanek, of course ...

I think the biggest change is that the other team's can focus solely on those two since nobody else has pulled their weight all season.
