I know I'm hating on Ovechkin all the time but if he takes 2 strides in his last shift(when he cancelled out the icing-call) in the D-zone he has the chance to get it out twice, but he just glides, one hand on the stick and his body language just sends a disgusting message and i would of been so furious if I was sitting on the bench watching that. It's like he doesn't care.

But, as soon as Caps was forced to ice it, he didn't mind skating.. So frustrating.
was just about to post this after my rant, haha.

Why didn't we go for a coach with experience? Why would McPhee take another wild risk like this after BB? I'm not liking this, not liking the style of play, not liking our lack of moves to get more scoring up front. I'm finding myself getting seriously pissed off with guys like Semin earning 7 million for 20 goals, and guys like Ward earning 3 million for very little.

We need a second line IMO. Get rid of Semin next year, let him walk or sign him for 4 million or so.

Getting shut out by Isles and Canes in same week doesn't fill you with confidence.

I thought Hunter would show more emotion behind bench. Extremely, um, composed, i guess. To put the best spin on it.

Under hunter, it seems like our only chance of winning is when we score first.

Come on, PP. Let's do something here.

Oh yeah they are already demoralized and skating suicides is really the answer? Absolutely not.

Because as clueless as George is, Ted is much more so. I mean how hard do you think it is for McPhee to convince Ted that everything is just fine? George needs an owner who will look him in his eyes and say" I've given you chance after chance and plenty of good players....you screw up again and I'll f ing end your career as an nhl gm!"

Hunter is a reserved guy, he's not the leader the caps need.. the caps need a real disciplinarian for a while.

I know he's never been a scorer but Joel Ward has 13 points this year and is contributing nothing else.

Refuses to hire an experienced coach, refuses to make moves that will push us over the top.....hell just look at his decade plus record of playoff failures. He's had chance after chance to prove himself, and he's failed.

The caps needed Hitchcock, but we waited about two years too long screwing around with BB and then it was too late.

disciplinarian is not set by volume. because hunter is a man of few words does not mean he is not a disciplinarian. by all appearances he is. unless maybe you are expecting the team to be bag skated during the tv timeouts or something.
